Abstract

Plastic is prevalent in our lives. It fills our fridges storing food in individual containers.
Toxic chemicals bleed into our water from the plastic bottles we purchase. Plastic is not
biodegradable, therefore it always exists, crowding our landfills and polluting our oceans.
Plastic pollution has the potential to poison animals, which can then adversely affect
human food supplies. It costs millions of dollars each year to clean affected areas after
exposure, not to mention the loss of life to plants, animals, and people. As land becomes
more valuable, just finding a place to put garbage is becoming a problem in many parts of
the world.

This project is aimed to develop a model that extracts the technology effectiveness of
automation for liquid dispenser. Automation has a notable impact in a wide range of
industries beyond manufacturing. Automation plays an increasingly important role in the
world economy. As the user specifies the type of fluid and its quantity, price of the
product is calculated and when bill payment process is completed the equivalent amount
of fluid is released from the electromagnetic valve.

The entire sequence of operation is controlled by a microcontroller. The main part is

control system which includes C programming in a microcontroller to control various
components in system. Electromagnetic valve is fabricated for this purpose. This process
eliminates the plastic that is used for packing purpose.
Literature Survey

Microcontroller is used as the controller to control the automatic operation of this

machine. Microcontroller is selected as the controller because it is easier to implement
and the compact size makes it easier to mount it on the system. The automatic liquid
filling machine is developed to be lower in price compare to the other filling machines in
the market. The machine is also easy to operate and user friendly, where simple steps are
needed to operate the machine. [1]

We investigate the microcontroller based water level sensing and controlling in a wired
and wireless environment. This can indicate the amount of water in the tank.Water level
indication unit we can use some LED light which will work for water level indication. By
touching different water levels through water level sensor, LED should be indicated as
on/off . When the sensor touches water, nozzles and connecting rod get electric
connection using water conductivity [2]

The majority of the system construction and implementation is in a dispensing unit,

where-in there is an application processor connected to a cloud database containing
pertinent details regarding consumption of every owner who has officially registered
himself/herself to this modified system. Upon registration, a limit-per-month is
established for the particular user. For data retrieving and manipulation in real time,
RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology is chosen. RFID tags, each with a
unique number ID are printed on every user's RC (Registration Certificate). This
information is scanned by readers on the dispensing units and used to retrieve fuel
consumption details of the user from the centralized database via the local servers.
According to the allowance of liquid limit, it is discharged to the user. This system,
though a little inflexible, is an efficacious way to ensure sustained use of liquid. [3]

The control valve manipulates a flowing fluid, such as water to compensate for the load
disturbance and keep the regulated process variable as close as possible to the desired set
point.[4]
Problem Statement

The problem addressed by this project is the reduction of large amount of plastic used in
the packaging of milk and other fluid products.
This the reservoir by an electromagnetically controlled valve and paying for the accessed
project solves its problem by setting up the fluid reservoir so that multiple customers can
access product through the use of registered user accounts whose user specific code is
embedded on a RFID tag and the currency in the card reduces each time the customer
access the product.

user demand
Microcontroller
The microcontroller is used to control the operation of electromagnetic valve based on
user inputs. Also, The microcontroller is used to process the data acquired from RFID
reader and the information extracted from this processing is fed as control inputs to the
electromagnetic valve.
A microcontroller (or MCU, short for microcontroller unit) is a small computer (SOC:-
System On Chip) on a single integrated circuit containing a processor core, memory ,and
programmable input/output peripherals. Microcontrollers are designed for embedded
applications, in contrast to the microprocessors used in personal computers or other
general purpose applications consisting of various discrete chips.[5]

Keypad
The Keypad is used for user selection of specific products to be filled. The list of liquid
products is stored in the memory of the microcontroller. The keypad is used to select the
specific product to be filled in the container.
A keypad is a set of buttons arranged in a block or "pad" which usually bear digits,
symbols and usually a complete set of alphabetical letters. If it mostly contains numbers
then it can also be called a numeric keypad.

RFID Reader
The RFID reader is used to detect the unique user identification code to access the
information about account holder. RFID (Radio Frequency Identification)
uses electromagnetic fields to automatically identify and sense the RFID tags. The tags
contain electronically stored information. Passive tags collect energy from a nearby RFID
reader's interrogating radio waves. Active tags have a local power source such as a battery
and may operate at hundreds of meters from the RFID reader. Unlike a barcode, the tag
need not be within the line of sight of the reader, so it may be embedded in the tracked
object. RFID is one method for AIDC (Automatic Identification and Data Capture).

The RFID reader is interfaced to the on board computer which is commonly termed as
microcontroller. The reader decodes the RFID tag information which is with the user and
this information is fed as input to the microcontroller. The input information from RFID
is also displayed on the LCD for the acknowledgement of the user.
GSM Module
The GSM module is used send information to server and vice versa. GSM (Global
System for Mobile communication) is a digital mobile telephony system that is widely
used in Europe and other parts of the world. GSM uses a variation of TDMA (Time
Division Multiple Access) and is the most widely used of the three digital wireless
telephony technologies (TDMA, GSM, and CDMA). [6]
The GSM module is used to acknowledge to the user about the cost and quantity that the
user has used from the dispenser system . The GSM module makes the process simpler to
transmit and receive data /information about the user by the server and also it helps to
have a transaction between the server and the user and the dispenser system.

LCD Display
The LCD is used to display the available inputs and progress of the system operation.
A LCD (Liquid-Crystal Display) is a flat-panel display or other electronic visual
display that uses the light-modulating properties of liquid crystals. Liquid crystals do not
emit light directly. LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) is the technology used for displays in
notebook and other smaller computers. Like LED (Light-Emitting Diode) and gas-plasma
technologies, LCDs allow displays to be much thinner than CRT (Cathode Ray Tube)
technology. LCD are low voltage display system which acts as the monitor and using this
the user can interact with the system easily and effectively .

Solenoid valve
This is the main part of the system which functions as the output of the system which
controls the flow and allows only the required amount of liquid that is filled in the small
container which is to be determined by the customer who specifies the quantity who
collects it. The solenoid valve is used to control the flow of the fluid based on the control
signal from the microcontroller. A solenoid valve is
an electromechanically operated valve. The valve is controlled by an electric
current through a solenoid: in the case of a two-port valve the flow is switched on or off;
in the case of a three-port valve, the outflow is switched between the two outlet ports.
Multiple solenoid valves can be placed together on a manifold.
Container
They are large boxes that actually comes in few sizes but they all have shape similar to
rectangle. The liquid in the container can be collected through solenoid valve.
A container is a basic tool, consisting of any device creating a partially or fully enclosed
space that can be used to contain, store, and transport objects or materials.
Containers are of two types big and small
The big containers are dispatch able ones which are installed in the dispenser system and
these are also enabled with liquid sensing controller system which sense the amount of
liquid present in it .
The small containers are for the users/customers who would collect/fill the required
amount of liquid quantity

Applications

This can be used in small scale industries to reduce the manual filling of liquid in
bottles.
This system can be used as liquid dispenser outlets to relish the customers
satisfaction with beverages or soft drinks with respect to their requirements.
This method can also be used in water and milk industries.
This system can be used by chefs or cooks to add precise quantity of fluid to meet
the needs of the recipe.
This can be used in automatic fuel tank filling system.
This system is used to achieve the required chemical composition to produce the
desired chemical compound.
