CWA Awareness Day is designed to help people gain a better understanding of what
women in the CWA achieve and the contribution they make to the state. It is a day to reflect
on the achievements of the CWA over the years and encourage new women to join so the
CWA can continue its work.

Throughout NSW and the ACT, CWA branches meet monthly to take on any number of
initiatives be it fundraising for medical research, lobbying for better services for families or
helping out in times of emergency, as well as sharing handicraft and cookery skills.
