Standard 1:
Curriculum scope: topics that will be covered within a course or class(objectives)
Sequence: the order in which topics are taught
Pedagogical Cycle: interaction between teachers and students
1. structure-provide a clear understanding of the material that is to be learned
2. ask questions varying in levels of difficulties
3. wait about 5 seconds after asking the question before speaking
4. react appropriately after students have had time to think
Standard 2:
A.Identify Similarities and Differences
Create a compare and contrast chart
Ask everyone and have a discussion
Give students good feedback and support their ideas
B.Reinforcing Effort by Providing Encouragement
Have students keep a log of accomplishments
Teacher show connection between effort and achievement
Telling kids what they did good
C. Encouraging Cooperative Learning
Effectiveness: Everyone must work together and it combines social skills with the

Characteristics: Working together on teams or people with different ability levels
to perform a common goal. (ed.gov)
Example: Group projects, socratic seminars, tasks requiring input from each
individual.
D. Setting Lesson Objectives and Goals for Learning
Effectiveness: Helps students understand what they will get done during the
class.
Characteristics: Making reasonable goals that are clearly defined. They should
also be personal for teachers and the students.
Examples: Having a bellringer at the beginning of class, writing the objectives on
the board for the students to see.
