Thrung Thu, the Vietnamese "Moon Festival", takes place every year on the
Fifteenth day of the eighth lunar month, inthe middle of fall.
This festival celebrates the beauty of the October full moon and is a chance for
everybody, especially children, to have some fun. Families get together and eat
traditional moon cakes. Then, the children put on masks, put candles inside
their star lanterns and light them. Them lanterns represent the brightness of
the moon. Everybody goes out into the dark night and follows the parade
through the streets. Unicorn dancers often dance intre crowded streets.
On almost every streets corner there are stands selling colorful lanterns, masks
and fish(Or flower) shaped moon cakes.
During Thrung Thu people remember their dead relatives, too. They pray and
burn fake money in their memory. They believe that money brings good luck
and that the smoke can carry it to their relatives.
There are going to be lots of exciting events, as well as music and dancing. Do
not miss this years May Day for anything!

Thrung Thu, el "Festival de la Luna" vietnamita, tiene lugar todos los aos a los
quince das del octavo mes lunar, a mediados de otoo.
En casi todas las calles hay puestos de venta de linternas de colores, mscaras
y peces (o flor) en forma de tortas de luna.
Durante Thrung Thu la gente recuerda a sus parientes muertos, tambin. Ellos
oran y queman dinero falso en su memoria. Ellos creen que el dinero trae
buena suerte y que el humo puede llevarlo a sus familiares.
