For each reduction of 0.01 percentage point below the specified carbon maximum, an increase of 0.06 percentage point manganese above the specified maximum
will be permitted, up to the maximum of 1.35 %.

SUMMARY OF CHANGES
Committee A01 has identified the location of the following changes to this standard since A 36/A 36M-03 that
may impact the use of this standard.
(1) Paragraph 1.4 has been deleted. (2) Tables 2 and 3 have been revised.
(1) 1.7, 4.1, 4.1.1 (renumbered as 4.2), and Note 1 have been
revised to be consistent with the terminology and requirements
of A 6/A 6M.
