Hitler's speech to the Reichstag Jan.

30, 1939 and "Europe"

Abstract

"If the international Finance-Jewry inside and outside of Europe should succeed in plunging the peoples of the earth once
again into a world war, the result will be ...the annihilation of the Jewish race in Europe." Hitler's speech to the Reichstag,
January 30, 1939.

"Europe" as defined by Hitler himself, was "the European nations and their overseas possessions," inclusive of "French
Morocco," "French Algeria," "French Tunisia" - "French North Africa" also called "France" (see maps 1, 2, 3), and Italian
Libya/Italy N. Africa (Libya)." The Jews of European North Africa, in Vichy-North Africa and in Italian Libya/North Africa
were part of "the Jews of Europe" that the Nazi regime wanted to annihilate in its "Final Solution to the Jewish question in
Europe."

"If the international Finance-Jewry inside and outside of Europe should succeed in plunging the peoples of the earth once
again into a world war, the result will be not the Bolshevization of earth, and thus a Jewish victory, but the annihilation of
the Jewish race in Europe." Hitler's speech to the Reichstag of January 30, 1939

What did Hitler mean by "Europe?

"Europe" as defined by Hitler himself, was "the European nations and their overseas possessions," inclusive of "French
Morocco," "French Algeria," "French Tunisia" - "French North Africa" also called "France" (see maps 1, 2, 3), and
Italian Libya/Italy N. Africa (Libya);" see map 1, 2).

For Hitler, the Nazi regime, the pro-Nazi French regime/Vichy-France, and Italy's regime, it was not about 'Europe' as a
geographic entity/continent, but it meant an imperial political Europe, "irrespective of geographic borders" as
definitely clarified at the January 20, 1942 Wannsee Conference, where the Jews of Vichy-North Africa were counted -
700,000 Jews in 'France' included the 300,000 Jews in the Metropole (mainland/continental France) and the 400,000
Jews in Vichy-North Africa (France d'outre mer or France over the sea). The Wannsee Protocal also mentions
11,000,000 Jews in Europe, when there were 9.5 million living in the continent. It is also important to remember that the
Holocaust was a political process evolving as per the decisions of national governments ruling their countries and their
overseas possessions - like pro-Nazi Vichy-France ruling Vichy-North Africa (Vichy-Morocco, Vichy-Algeria, and Vichy-
Tunisia).

As per all the primary sources and the contemporary historical, national, and political realities of the Holocaust, well
understood by Hitler, the Nazi regime, Italy's regime, the pro-Nazi regime of Vichy-France, and Holocaust scholars such
as Yehuda Bauer (academic advisor at Yad Vashem and its former Director), Gilbert Martin, Leni Yahil, and many others:

1. "Europe" in for example, "the Jewish race in Europe," "the Jews of Europe," "the Shoah in Europe," "the Final Solution
to the Jewish question in Europe." and in "the Holocaust in Europe," didn't mean to include only the nations/countries
located in continental/mainland Europe (geographic meaning), but it meant an imperial political Europe, "the European
nations and their overseas possessions," because the Holocaust was a political process controlled by national
governments; thus the Holocaust evolved not only in the nations located in mainland Europe, but also in their overseas
possession ruled by them. Thus, the fate/persecution of the Jews in Vichy-Morocco, Vichy-Algeria, and Vichy-Tunisia,
ruled by "Vichy mainland" (term used by Holocaust schola Rene Poznanski, an expert on the Holocaust in France), was
part of the Holocaust in France. Thus the fate/persecution of the Jews in Italian Libya was part of the Holocaust in Italy.

2. The German words "Juden Europas," in primary sources related to history of the Holocaust, and which English
translation is "the Jews of Europe," "the European Jews," and "European Jewry" didn't have the geographic meaning of
the Jews living in continental Europe, but politically meant the Jews living in continental Europe and the Jews living in

European North Africa (French and Italian North Africa), where many Jews were French, Italian and British citizens.1

The European Jews of European North Africa, in Vichy-North Africa and in Italian Libya/North Africa were part of "the
Jews of Europe" that the Nazi regime wanted to annihilate in its "Final Solution to the Jewish question in Europe." And
that's how Bauer, Yahil, Gilbert and many other Holocaust scholars present their history of the European Jews in the
Holocaust/the European Holocaust.

1 Besides, during the era of nationalism and Jewish emancipation in the modern era, Jews were defined and identified

according to their citizenship, and not according to the continent where they lived. A French Jew living in French Tunisia
was a European Jew; in fact, Jews of Tunisia who were French and Italian emancipated were called "European Jews" in
French Tunisia. All the Jews of French Algeria were French citizen.
