involved in active learning. The Monday, October 12th
children have extended time
during the day to explore,

many open-ended materials.
The children make plans and

interactions and to support
childrens learning.
In the month of September, we will focus on social and emotional
development. These KDIs include encouraging childrens sense of
competence, self-identity, understanding emotions, building
relationships and a sense of community in our classroom. We will
learn the classroom routine and rules. We will work on conflict
resolution and understanding personal space. These are important
skills for five and six year olds. These skills will build the foundation
for a wonderful year and many wonderful school years ahead!

Reminders to Parents
It is very important that you send in all
medical forms to school. This includes
the concussion form (found on-line),
Health Appraisal form, and Immunization
forms. The Health Appraisal form must
be current and signed by a doctor. Our
goal is to have all of these forms in by
next Friday, so please, send those in as
soon as possible. Thanks!!

Sometimes we get a little messy in pre-k

and occasionally accidents happen. To keep
these moments stress-free for your child,
it is important to have a change of clothes
here at school. Please, send in a change
of clothes for your child in a large zip
lock bag with your childs name written
on the bag. Be sure to include
underclothing and socks with the clothes.
