Column: take a break after

this semester ends
Whether you are graduating in May or finishing your first year
in college, everyone is looking forward to summer break. We
love the chance to catch our breath and rest after working hard
all semester. If you are like most students, you have already
begun to make some plans for your summer that include
sleeping in, laying by a pool, traveling and reading for fun.
While all of that is much needed and welcomed, there are ways
to use you summer to be intentional and keep you working
toward your goals. When I was a student, I spent many summer
days in an endless cycle of daytime T.V. and laziness. This was
before Netflix, friends. It was a dark time.
I want to encourage rest and rejuvenation for you, with a
small caveat. Do a few things this summer that will help you
feel productive. You will be so grateful that you did.
