A rebound gap is one that is produced by the impact of the projectile on a hard barrier, so it does
not penetrate and only produces a friction or bruising, is the so-called line shot, sometimes this
causes a lot of pain but the knock it could be extremely dangerous, because the impact of a bullet
of this type in a sensitive part of the body can cause a lot of traumas and also serious bruises. The
rebound gap is easy to recognize because as we said it just leaves superficial and small wounds
but that causes a lot of pain.
Inclination angle:
It is the angle that indicates the degree of inclination of the deceased at the moment of receiving
the impact which can be calculated with a goniometer (angle gauge).
Angle of inclination = 15
Angle of incidence:
It is the angle formed by the horizontal in the OE, taking into account the inclination of the
victim at the moment of receiving the impact and the trajectory of the bullet. It is calculated by
subtracting the angle of penetration with that of the inclination, ie:
Penetration angle: 22
Angle of inclination: 15
Then 22 - 15 = 7
