REGULATION ORDINANCE NO. 2012-214


AN ORDINANCE RECLASSIFYING THE POSITION OF EXECUTIVE
ASSISTANT IV, SALARY GRADE 22 (ITEM NO. 2), OFFICE OF THE
CITY MAYOR, TO EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT II, SALARY GRADE 17 OF
THE SAME OFFICE

WHEREAS, in a letter dated April 14, 2012, the Honorable City Mayor Jed Patrick
Mabilog requested for the reclassification of one (1) vacant position of Executive Assistant IV,
Salary Grade 22 (Item No. 2), Office of the City Mayor;

WHEREAS, Section 76 of Republic Act 7160 otherwise known as the Local Government
l e of 1991 states, that:

'\"lection 76. - Every LGU shall design and implement its own organizational
structure and staffing pattern taking into consideration its service requirements and
financial capability, subject to the minimum standards and guide/;nes prescribed by the
(,'ivil Service Commission. "

WHEREAS, the reclassification does not entail additional cost on the part of the lloilo
City Government, as such said position is deemed necessary, urgent and for the best interest of
the service;

WHEREAS, the total compensation for the position of Executive Assistant IV, Salary
Grade 22 is P591,901.00 per year while the budget for the new position of Executive Assistant
II, Salary Grade 17 is P424,957.00 per year, thus generating a savings of P 166,944 .00.

NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Sangguniang Panlungsod of the City of


Iloilo, in session duly assembled, that:

Section 1. - The position of Executive Assistant IV, Salary Grade 22 (Item 2), Office of
the City Mayor, is hereby reclassified to Executive Assistant II, Salary Grade 17, of the same
office;

Section 2. - That a copy of this ordinance be furnished the Human Resource


Management Office (HRMO), Iloilo City, for information and guidance.

Section 3. - This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon approval.

ENACTED, May 2, 2012.
