Hello and welcome to the April 2017 edition of Holden Torque. The official publication of
the 48 to 78 Holden Car Club Hunter Valley Inc.
The cover picture this month looks like what I need at the moment just to get out the
driveway. I found the picture on line and just liked it.
We are all Crazy about Chrome at the moment with the show this weekend. I hope the
weather is kind to us. I have heard lots of promotional material on radio station 2NUR
FM103.7. 2NUR is a community radio station and has been doing a great job helping us.

Events Show n Shine for Damien now 30th April. CAC volunteers to meet
at stadium at 6pm Fri 17th March. Movie night Lenny out of
action his brother has a theatre at Wallsend.
26th March Kurri Nostalgia Festival. Meet at Maccas Kurri 6.30am.
26th March Port Macquarie Classic Cruise.
CAC 2017 2nd April.
9th April Steamfest numbers needed for catering.
Tin run new date to be advised.
CAC Report Event plan, need people early, 5am , on the day for setting up
tables, gazebos, safety fencing, etc.. A stage has been donated for
the day. Live bands will be playing. Pinky will MC the day. Website
for the auction coming together, hopefully running by the time of
show. Phil Ryan has organised a drone to take aerial photos of the
show. All trophies are now sponsored. T-shirts have arrived.
Maitland Classic Club will be the judges on the day.

Upcoming Runs....
Sunday 2nd April, Acrobat crazy about chrome 2017. (McDonald Jones Stadium car park.)
The biggest , bestest motor show Newcastle has seen.
We need all hands on deck for the day. From 5 am (Daylight savings ends at 2 am)
Because the stadium has an event on Sat. 1st we cant do any set up the day before, so it
will be an early start on Sunday to mark out the grounds, set up tables, chairs, gazebos,
fencing, barriers etc. So if you can help at all, even just a couple of hours would be great
please come along. See the day program.
Sunday 9th April. Maitland Steamfest. Maitland Park. Meet at Bakers Cottage, Chelmsford
Dr. Metford for 8am departure. This will be a catered event with steak sangas provided by
the club, so we need final numbers by 31st March. Please. (BYO Drinks).
