Pneumaticpumpingplantsareunitscapabletooperatewithsolutionswithinaverywiderangeofdensities,
suchasmortars,corrosiveliquids,liquidshavinghighviscosityandcontainingsolidinclusions,highly
flammableliquids.

Thesepumpsaregeneralpurposeunitscapabletocopewithvariousindustrialprocessesinpetroleum
processing,chemicalindustry,paperindustry,extractionofmineralsetc.

Apneumaticunitisprovidedwithareservoir,tapsandpipestointakeordischargeliquids.Selfregulating
valvesareinstalledonpipesthesevalvesareopenedorclosed,dependingonliquidavailabilityorabsence.
Apneumaticpumpisalsoprovidedwithairductsforcompressedairintakeordischargevalvesareusedfor

apparatusincludedlowcapacity(10%to15%efficiency)andnonuniformliquiddelivery.However,dueto
severaladvantages,suchascapabilitytodelivermixtureswithhighconcentrationandlowstirringof
sedimentsatthebottomspace,resultedinfurtherdevelopmentandimprovementoftheseunits.

Designdetailsandoperationprinciple

Flowchambersareinstalledatbothsidesofapneumaticpump,betweentheoutersideofamembraneand
thepumpcasing.Theairchamberusedtoreceivecompressedairfromthedistributionmechanismisatthe
oppositesideofamembrane.Asaresult,thereisnocontactbetweenairchambersandthepumpflow
mechanism.Theairmechanismdeliverscompressedairintoonechamber,impactingtheinnerpartofa
membraneanddrivingthemembranetomovetowardsthecasing.Asaresult,operatingsubstanceis
displacedintothepressureline.Themembranesareconnectedbytherodinsuchawaythatwhenone
membranedisplacessubstance,theothermembranesuckeditout.Thisresultsinvacuuminanopposite
chamber.Attheendofeachstroke,thedistributionmechanismisswitchedautomaticallytodeliver
compressedairintotheoppositechamber.Thisprocessisrepeatedagainandagain.Duringdischargeand
suction,pumpvalvesoperateascheckvalves,preventingsubstanceleakagesfromonetrunktoanother.
