Activity Objective
In this lab, will explore the features of the SASD application for windows on your local machine
2. If you see a security warning, accept the warning and continue to the login page.
4. This opens a windows installer. Follow the instructions for this installation wizard to install the
SASD application on your windows laptop.
5. Once installation has completed, open the application by double-clicking the desktop shortcut named
SASD.

9. In the Layouts menu at the top of the screen, click Select View and choose Building 28 Default View.
10. When all of the cameras have loaded and stopped buffering, the view should resemble Figure 1 below

11. Next, click Select View and choose Building 32 Default View.
12. This view should load showing just two video feeds as in Figure 1 below.
13. We will now create a custom layout in SASD. Click the 2 x 1 icon [ ] at the top under the Layouts
section.
14. Click Locations > HQ > Mn2 > Building 32 > Bldg 32 1st Floor.
15. Click and drag the Bldg 32 HealthPresence and Bldg 32 Outdoor cameras into the available view
panes.
16. We will now load a video wall by clicking the Wall button at the top of the page.
17. Click Select Wall > Bldg 28 Video Wall to load the video wall we created in Scenario 11.
18. Click Select View > Bldg 28 Default View. You should see a 2x2 view with Bldg 28 cameras showing.
19. Next, we will look at the Alerts view. Click the Alert button at the top of the page. This brings up a
list of events that have happened in your surveillance network. See Figure 2 below.
