I am going to lay out 6 flowers at the art table and place 3 paint
trays, so each child has to share with a partner. I will explain to
the children that we now have the opportunity to create our own
flowers, that can be any colour they want. After the children are
done painting their flower, we will label all the parts of the flower
that we learned about earlier this week.
Objectives:
1. The children will further develop their aesthetic skills by first
hand sensory engagement through finger painting
2. The children will continue to enhance their Cognitive skills (5.3)
through the finger painting as well as by labelling the parts of
the flower.
3. The children will further enhance their social skills by working
with their friends and sharing paint.
Materials:
- 1 Table
- 6 chairs
- 6 flowers
- 3 paint trays
- 6 colours in each
Implementation:
1. I will call over the children and explain the activity to them
2. I will show them the flower I made as an example
3. After the children are done painting, they will be given cut out
labels reading flower stem leaf and roots.
4. Together, we will label the flower correctly before placing on
the drying rack.

I will explain the activity to the children and show them the

I will put 6 chairs at the table along with 6 flowers so the children
know how many children can be at the table at once.

Reflection: - The finger painting portion went well. The children really

- What didnt go well? - The group sizes didn't go well. 6 may have been too many
