SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

1. SUITABLE CRANE/LIFTING POSITION IS DECIDED ACCORDING TO OPERATING RADIUS OF THE


CRANE AND CONSIDERING SITE CONSTRAINT.
2. CRANE PROPOSED TO BE USED SHOULD HAVE SUFFICIENT CAPACITY TO LIFT THE GIRDER
AND PLACE IT IN POSITION WITH THE MAXIMUM OPERATING RADIUS.
3. SITE ENGINEER TO ENSURE THE FEASIBILITY OF ERECTION SCHEME BEFORE COMMENCING
THE WORK.
4. SITE ENGINEER TO TAKE ALL PRECAUTIONS AND TAKE NECESSARY TEMPORARY SIGNALING
DURING ERECTION OF STEEL TRUSS.
5. THE SPECIFIED CRANE SHOULD BE TESTED AND CERTIFIED AFTER REASSEMBLING AT SITE
BEFORE COMMENCEMENT OF LAUNCHING WORK
6. ALL THE SAFETY MATERIAL LIKE HELMETS, SAFETY BELTS, JACKETS AS REQUIRED SHALL BE
USED
7. SPACE FOR WORKING AND MOVEMENT OF CRANE SHOULD BE CONSOLIDATED TO AVOID ANY
SETTLEMENT.

8. NO WORK SHOULD BE DONE AT NIGHT. IF IT IS NECESSARY, PROPER ARRANGEMENT OF LIGHT
SHOULD BE DONE.TRACK SHOULD BE PROTECTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH CLAUSE 807 AND 808
OF RAILWAY MANUAL.
9. THE WORK UNDER TRAFFIC BLOCK SHALL BE CARRIED OUT UNDER THE PROVISION OF
BANNER FLAG AND IN PRESENCE FLAG-MEN.
10. LEVEL THE REQUIRED SPACE AND CONSOLIDATE THE GROUND TO AVOID ANY SETTLEMENT
OF CRANE DURING MOVEMENT AND WORKING OF CRANE.MIN SBC REQUIRED AT GROUND BE
150 KN/M2.
11. CRS SANCTION SHOULD BE OBTAINED BEFORE COMMENCEMENT OF WORK AT SITE.
12. A STANDBY CRANE OF SAME CAPACITY SHOULD BE AVAILABLE AT SITE DURING TRAFFIC
BLOCK WORK.
13. DURING LAUNCHING OF STEEL TRUSS IN RAILWAY BLOCK, IF ANY FAILURE IS OCCUR, RAILWAY
LINE WILL BE IMMEDIATELY CLEARED BY DISMANTLING OR CUTTING THE STEEL TRUSS IN WITH
THE HELP OF GAS CUTTER OR ANY OTHER MEAN IMMEDIATELY.
