Reflective Log (Paper Recycling)

Recycling is important to reduce the waste. Every industry produces waste

including the paper industry. Paper is made from trees. Cutting down trees
results in global warming and floods and lack of oxygen. That is why it is
important to recycle paper.

Our job was to collect waste paper from the university and send it to the
recycling center in Cyberjaya doing our part for community service. I
personally collected the papers from the library and put them in a black
garbage bag. And then labelled the bag so that no one picks it up and throws
it in the trash.

The trash bag was then collected by my group members and sent to the
recycling center in Cyberjaya. It was not hard work. In fact, this should be a
regular practice for our go green university since it helps with recycling
waste.

We also had a very diverse group with more than 10 members from various
parts of the world. It is good to know different people from different places. A
lot can be learned from such activities.

The other groups also did a variety of different and interesting tasks like car
wash etc but ours was better for the environment which is a good thing.

It was a simple and easy task that can be carried out by anyone. More of
these tasks are required to reduce the waste that we produce which pollutes
the earths environment.
In conclusion, I would like to say that there should be a permanent waste
collection department in our university to do our part in saving the
environment.
