Bt. Mohd Noor, senior assistants, teachers and my fellow friends. First and
foremost, I would like to thank our principal for giving me a chance to deliver my
speech. I am Muhammad Amirul Adlie, Gurjit best friend. I have been asked to
give a speech about Gurjit's positive transformation. This speech is meant to
value his passion and determination to become more successful after an awful
accident.

Before the accident, Gurjit is a mischievous and playful boy. He used to annoy
people by teasing and pranking them .By doing that kind of things, he finds joy
and pleasure to himself. Despite his unpleasant attitude, he is actually a smart
boy. But he did not use his gifted intelligence properly. The laziness in his soul
gave an undesired negativity throughout the learning session. He always took
things for granted In all matters that related to learning and studying .For
example, He often late to school even though his house is just 1 km away from
school. It seems as if he has already achieved success that he desires.
Moreover, he did not have the motivation to succeed due to too much negativity
in himself. However, he has gained the motivation after he was involved in an
accident.

The accident happened when he was 14 years old. It changed the outlook on his
life forever. At that time, he was riding a bicycle. He was on his way back to
home after he played badminton at the badminton court. It was a beautiful day,
The sun were shining, The flowers were blooming, The birds were singing.
Suddenly, he was hit by a car and blood running out of his mouth it is dripping on
his shirt. The accident paralysed lower half of his body. The terrible incident had
given a big impact in his life. The accident also motivates him and gave him a
big lesson to learn.

After the accident, the teachers and his friends including me noticed a big
change in his character. He was not Gurjit that we all knew. Everything about his
negative personality has changed. He was not playful and mischievous boy
anymore but now he is a more behaved and a nice person. He sees life as a
precious thing. He finally believed that human life is precious to God and is to be
valued and protected until rightful death. Besides, he has impressive
achievements. In the mid-term examination, he managed to get through the
examination with flying colours. Recently, he joined the Paralympics and he
competes in table tennis event. Even thought he lost in the quarter finals, but
joining the Paralympics was still an impressive achievement for the school, and
himself.
