Spider

Spiders are predatory invertebrate animals. They are not classified in the class of insect. A
spider has eight legs while an insect never has more than six legs.
Spiders have a body with two main divisions, four legs and two other pairs of abdominal
spinnerets for spinning threads of silk. This silk can be used to aid in climbing, build egg sacs
and catch pray.
Spiders kill so many insects, but they never do the least harm to mans belonging. Spiders
are busy for at least half of the year killing insects. It is impossible to find out how many insects
they kill, since they are hungry creature which cannot be content with only three meals a day.

One Month Training Course
Suitable young men and women are invited to apply for places on the one month training course
on hotel work organized by the Hong Kong Institute of Hotel Management. Tuition is free of

Gardenia plants are popular for the strong sweet scent of their flowers.
Gardenia is the national flower in Pakistan. In Japan and China, the flower
is called Kuchinashi (Japanese) and Zhi zi (Chinese).
Gardenia plants are evergreen shrubs. Their small trees can grow to 1 - 5
meters tall. The leaves are 5 - 50 centimeters long and 3 - 25 centimeters
broad, dark green and glossy with a leathery texture. The flowers are in
small groups, white, or pale yellow, with 5-12 lobes (petals) from 5-12
centimeters diameter. They usually bloom in mid- spring to mid-summer.
Many species have strong aroma.
To cultivate gardenia as a house plant is not easy. This species can be
difficult to grow because it originated in warm humid tropical areas. It
demands high humidity and bright (not direct) light to thrive. It flourishes
in acidic soil with good drainage and thrives on 20 23 C during the day
and 15 16 C in the evening. Potting soils developed specifically for
gardenias are available. It grows no larger than 18 inches in height and
width when grown indoor. In climates where it can be grown outdoors, it
can reach the height of 6 feet. If water hits the flowers, they will turn
brown.

Ant and Dove

An ant went to the river to get a drink. The water rushed so fast
that he was washed off from the bank into the river. "I shall drown"
he cried. "Help! Help! Help!", but his voice was so tiny that it
couldn't be heard. A dove was sitting on the tree hanging over the
water. She saw the ant struggling and quickly nipped off a leaf and
let it fall into the water. The ant climbed upon it and floated down
