Our goal is to create safe, supportive transitional housing using a
boarding house model. We are by this, requesting Planning Board approval of a special use permit in accordance with the provisions of Section 4o1-g2 of the City of Kingston Zoning Code. The subject premises will be equipped to house up to rz individuals on two floors, in an unused section of church that once sened as the parsonage. This project developed natura from our work as Ulster County's only Warming Center as we came into immediate contact with the city's homeless population. We recognize the crucial need for supportive, transitional housing and related services for folks .*pti"ttcing homelessness, truly the least among us_. We _are uniquely quUned to rovide housing as the only community based- organizatio.t itt the City of Kingston that provides hot meals and connective services to this fragile population-
The special boarding house will be staffed z4 hours a day, 7 days a
week^with trained staff (permanent resident of the City of Kingston) that will ensure the safety and tranquility of the residents and the community. Those invoived in thisroject will comply with all of the city's regulations and those of the planning department.

Folks who may have otherwise acted out on the streets or been a burden to taxpayers with hospitalization and incarceration costs will now be secure and working toward productive, cooperative citizenship.
