My topic is over S.L.A.P. tear repair and rehabilitation. A S.L.A.P.
tear is a superior lateral tear from anterior to posterior of the
labrum. I chose to do my final presentation over this because I
have gone through this surgery two times already and wanted to
gain insight over what happens and how this can be prevented.
I wanted to be able to feature how we can prevent this surgery
because of the vast devastating effects it can have.
About My I would also like to come up with an accumulative post-op protocol

My current event was over Sports Pain Jedis and the various
different benefits that physical therapist bring to lives of many
patients. A featured portion of the article was over how they know
different methods to prevent injury. This directly correlated to my
presentation because a Labral surgery is the longest recovery time
of all surgeries. By taking preventative measures you enable
yourself to stop yourself from enduring the injury and the surgery
that follows.
Current Event
I liked this study because it allows for me to gain insight on an
injury and process that I myself have gone through two times. It
General enabled me to get a better overall understanding of what the
surgery was and the process to recover. I was able to learn in
Statements depth what goes on in the surgery and how the procedure itself is
conducted. I also learned a great deal more on preventative
measures that can be taken to reduce to risk of these tears.
I would like to thank my mentor Dr. Eric Santiago for letting me
shadow for an additional semester and continue to be under his
wing. I would also like to thank Ms. Click for being a big help in
Thank You! assisting me with my time management to reduce my stress.
Lastly, I would like to thank my parents for being patient with me
during times that I was stressed over the course of the year.
