OBJECTIVE
Primarily, I am seeking a skilled trades position as a Tinsmith, preferably custom sheet metal layout,
fabrication, welding, and installation. Ideally working in versatile mixed-trade teams as a mechanical
maintenance team member. Additionally, I am interested in expanding upon my past experience as an
Electronics Technician in Wideband / Broadband communications.

09/1995 - 01/2010 Tinsmith - Mechanical Team Maintenance
Design, layout, fabrication, installation of sheet metal products. The majority of work was trouble shooting
problems, and creation of custom solutions, as well as direct support of steel production. The use of
shears and bending brakes (hand and powered) , press brakes, roller bending machines, drill press,
punch press, welding, plasma cutting (hand and electric-eye table), riveting, use of a variety of hand
tools, and layout techniques were common. Examples of typical work include -
• Custom machine safety guards - all shapes, sizes, and materials.
• Duct work - both light gauge standard office, and heavy gauge black and stainless steel large scale
industrial ducts.
• Doors - custom creation of steel office/building type, electrical panel, and vehicle doors.
• Production vehicle support - fenders and skirting, vehicle cab and door rebuilding for tractors, trucks,
steel-hauling equipment (Klein, Kress, and Valmet), and locomotives.
• Steel production support - a variety of custom consumable forms for Blast Furnace skimmer troughs,
and internal stainless steel heat shields for the Continuous Caster strands.

and operation of mobile equipment for mobile base telecommunications.
