Prevalent Themes and Symbols

Sense of Curiosity and Inquisition. Asking the visitors on what are their

intents/purpose in the visitation. In this manner, they want to know the main

purpose of the visitors in visiting their houses so that they will tell everyone in the

village that the visitors have main purpose/intent because the villagers are

wandered why there are visitors visited the houses in the village.

Metaphorical Language

We came for our thesis that we need information from the place, people

and community. We love to visit places to experience cultures, traditions and

customs that will appreciate and treasure diversity in order to preserve your

culture for posterity.

Metaphorical Language

Epanados Kasem ug susuway kid-on, Su ganasun ad kasem in this

line, The friend said to her close friend that tomorrow they will separate and

tomorrow they take her away for marriage. Repetition of the same words in an

inverse order but same sense, (Bul.p.299).

Researchers Response:

Friendship is forever and endless if we valued each moment. We have to

appreciate and cherish each experience and adventure despite of the events that

will happen in our lives. We have to embrace things and move forward to

continue life ahead.

Analysis

Prevalent Themes.

Love and Determination. A man is in love with a beautiful woman lived

in the mountains and he will not give up until the woman will marry him.

Metaphorical Language:

Metaphor Det bubungan Magkaputit kan heyta In this line, it emphasizes

the direct attraction of a man from a beautiful woman living the mountain. For

Mcsorley, B. (2014) stated that metaphor is used to compare two unlike things

by claiming that one thing is another.

Researchers Response:

Love is not easy; it should be determined to find someone who will

deserve the love he has, love should be appreciative and agreed in both sides to

Sense of Maternal Love. A mother is singing a lullaby for her child

because she will leave for a moment to find sweet potatoes in the farm for their

meal.

Metaphorical Language:

Paradox tuyog na oto, buwa buwa ka oto in this line, it emphasized that

the child should be calm and sleep faster because her mother will go to the farm

to find sweet potatoes for their meal. It also articulates that child are either not

easy to calm down or sleep faster if his/her mother will be not around if child will

not hear the mothers voice signing him/her a lullaby until she/he falls asleep.

Researchers Response:

Mothers love is infinite and timeless; She will do everything for the needs

of her family and children, She will care and love despite of all that are boundless

for as long as it is for her familys needs and She will make everyone of her

family in peace and calm.
