A Historical Timeline
You are tasked to create a historical timeline a sequence of events
based on the perspective of a society we are studying. The assignment
will be broken into two parts.

Part A: You will be assigned a historic perspective of a FNMI individual.

Through this lens, you will create a timeline that uses a
positive/negative bar graph. The bar graph will be set to a scale of +5
to -5 and you will need to assign a number value to each of the listed
historic events. Your timeline will need to include a title. An example
will be attached to this worksheet.

Part B: Based on your assessment, you will now need to justify the
points you have assigned. On a written document, you must include
the title, date, describe and defend your position as to why the event
benefitted or harmed the FNMI communities. At least 4 complete
sentences each. An example will be attached to this document.

Please research the following events and include them on your Historic
Timeline (note: events which occur on the same date must be listed
separately from one another):

British Columbia joins Confederation

Start of the Gold Rush
Prince Edward Island joins Confederation
Nunavut becomes a territory
Douglas Treaties
Implementation of Residential Schools
Newfoundland joins Confederation
Alberta joins Confederation
Saskatchewan joins Confederation
Yukon becomes a territory
