Element- 3.6 Plan and implement progressive and sequential
instruction that addresses the diverse needs of all students

Reflection:

What:
My personal experience with planning and implement progressive and
sequential instruction that addresses the diverse needs of all students is
addressed through the commentary for the EDTPA Task 1 Commentary. The
EDTPA Task 1 is based on students in the classroom and connects with diverse
needs of all students because not all students are the same. This is shown
based on the needs of a student compared to another student. With this artifact
I had to plan around 10 students that all have different needs based on skill and
implement progressions to meet the need for those students to succeed. All of
the instruction from the artifact addresses the diverse need of the students in
the classroom.

Now what:
The EDTPA Commentary for Task 1 relates to Element 3.6 in the following
manner, all students are different and to meet the needs of the students I had
to plan and implement progressive sequential instruction through lesson plans
and by gaining knowledge of the lesson that I would be teaching. This is used
to meet the needs of the diverse students to help those students in all ways.
This is addressed through the three domains of physical education
(Psychomotor, Cognitive, and Affective). At first to plan and implement you
have to look at the SHAPE book and combine the grade and lesson with the
outcomes in the book and from there you can address the activities around the
students needs.

So what:
This artifact is important to my teaching based on planning and implementing
you have to be able to plan your activities around the students needs. The
students are the central focus of the class so as an educator it is important to
plan and implement around their needs. The intention of both the artifact and
this reflection is based on planning and implementing instruction that
addresses the diverse needs of all students. The content was used to show that
I was able to plan and implement around the diverse needs of the ten students
in the 3 lessons.
