404 and CDFG Streambed Alteration permits, RWQCB 401 Certification, NOAA fisheries issues, and
Matilija Ecosystem Restoration Project.

Provide direction and oversight to the Districts groundwater program, and Fox Canyon Management Agency
(FCGMA) to ensure groundwater resources within the County are protected. Specific responsibilities include
compliance with the Districts recently updated Well Ordinance, abandoned well program, issuance of well
permits, and data acquisition and analysis leading to Countywide water resource (water supply & demand)
and groundwater assessment reports. Participate in various watershed committees building consensus with
local governments, water districts and other stakeholders within the County to resolve complex issues of
surface and groundwater water supply and quality.
