If God exists, why does he allow the

sufferings?

In all the history of humanity, people put this question. It

besides even more relevant at the time is particularly disturbed
where we live. Indeed, if God exists, it is that it created the
human ones with a positive aim, so that they enjoy the life.
Why does it thus tolerate the evil? If it realizes that the human
ones undergo wars, famines, the disease, unemployment or
any other injustice, why do it leave them in this state? Why
God doesn't it regulate the problems of its own creation?

Above all, note well that we said that God allows the sufferings.
Indeed, a rather widespread belief would like that it is at the
origin of the sufferings, as if it caused them intentionally. It is
quite simply is necessary. The Bible known as:Far from true
God to act maliciously and of the Almighty to act
wrongfully! (Job 34: 10). God is never at the origin of the
sufferings and the injustices. He is satisfied not to intervene, to
let make. And we will see why.

Moreover, it should be known that this kind of questioning is

completely legitimate. Indeed, although certain religions took
the practice to refer to a concept of mystery or secret Saint,
God created the human nature so that we need to feel that our
life has a direction. This is why, not only God does not reproach
us for being posed this kind of questions, but in more it
answers it directly by the means of its word the Bible.

In addition, it could be that the only term Bible causes a

certain apprehension in you: a large complex book inaccessible
to the common people But you undeceive! God made so that
any sincere person can clearly include/understand the rich
person lesson whom it contains. Moreover, the question which
we put at the beginning (Why God it does allow the sufferings?)
is truly the spinal column of the Bible.
That shows at which point what it sign is close to our concerns
and our interrogations. Thus, in these some pages, I propose to
present most clearly possible the answer to you that God gives
to this question in his word the Bible. I will quote all the biblical
references on which I will base myself by explaining each one
of it. If you read these some pages until the end and that you
think deeply of the significance of the biblical passages which
you will read, you will know very precisely why God allows the
sufferings.

An eloquent example.
Rather than to enter directly explanations, I propose an
example to you which will enable you to include/understand
well the problems of the situation of God with respect to the
human ones.

You are with a course of mathematics. The professor posed with

the class a problem algebra rather complicated: a very precise
methodology is necessary to find the solution of it. You seek all
the possible tracks in vain Really, you do not see And the
other students seem to be in the same case.

The professor thus puts himself to explain how to proceed. At

this point in time, of a blow, one of the students rises and
claims openly that the professor tells anything! How this
method is false! He claims shamelessly that the professor is
inefficient and a liar but that him, the student, knows how to
solve it by a completely different method. He goes even until
calling into question the motivations of the professor by saying
that he keeps his station by selfishness, because he has good
wages, but which he completely ignores the progress of the
students. However the professor knows well that all that is
false. He knows as pertinently as its method is the only one to
lead to the result.

How will it thus react? It can use of its authority and order with
the student to leave his course. But would that solve really the
situation? Couldn't the other students think that if it reacts like
that, it is that it at summer put failing this and that, finally, the
student rebels was right perhaps? The fundamental question
which is raised is that of the legitimacy of the authority of the
professor. To use of authority for vincer the problem would do
nothing but amplify the doubt. Only the direct proof of the
superiority of its competences compared to those of the
students would re-establish this legitimacy.

The professor could thus quite simply say to the student: You
claim that your method is better than mine. Come in the table!
I let to you show us how you are caught there. It will be seen
well if you arrive there! . Thus, when everyone sees clearly
that it was the method of the professor who led to the result, it
will be able to put the student outside for his insolence. At this
time there, the legitimacy of the authority of the professor will
clearly have been restored. The direct proof will have been
made that only the method of the professor led to the
resolution of the problem of algebra. No doubt will remain in
the spirit of the other students.

The authority legitimates of God.

Which is the bond between this history and the fact that God
allows the human sufferings? Just like this professor with a
legitimate authority on the students, God has an authority
legitimates on the human ones. It is what is called divine
sovereignty.

Certe, the authority term often has a rather negative

connotation. But one speaks here about the authority of the
creator who, like that of this professor, is positive and
constructive.

The authority of the professor is based on his competences in

mathematics. On what thus does rest the sovereignty of God?
The Bible answers: You are worthy, Jhovah, yes our God,
to receive glory and honor and power, because you
created all things, and because of your will they existed
and were created.(Revelation 4: 11)

It is because it created all things, including humanity, that it

has an authority on us. Take one moment time to think of all
that creation implies: the wisdom and the power which were
necessary to him for all to organize and all to structure in the
details, of the atom to the galaxy clusters! It also decided to
create beings equipped with a conscience (with its image),
able to enjoy the life and to benefit from the remainder from
creation. It is him which created the human nature, and it is
him which with fact so that our planet can fill all our needs (it
was the case in the beginning). And note well that it did all that
because of its will, quite simply because it wanted to do it. It
did not need any; it was not obliged to create us.

Let us go a little further and analyze of what the will of God

consisted about which the passage referred to above speaks.
Which was its objective or its intention for the human ones? By
reading in the Bible chapters 1 and 2 of the Genesis, you will
see that with the whole beginning of humanity, God created the
first human couple Adam and Eve and put them in a splendid
garden: the garden of Eden. It was not right a beautiful place.
God wanted that it is a model to be applied to all planet. He
said to them: Be fertile and become numerous, fill the
ground and subject it. (Genesis 1: 28). He thus wanted
that all the planet resembles the garden of Eden, that the
human perfect ones (like were Adam and Eve) can quite simply
live happy eternally under these ideal conditions. It is what the
Bible calls the true life (1 Timothe 6: 19).

Jhovah comes from the ttragramme Hebrew yhwh (French

jhvh) which indicates the name of God in the Bible. In much of
biblical translations, this name was removed or replaced by
superstition, but it appeared in it well at the origin. Thus, when
we speak about Jhovah, it is about God. Keep well with the
spirit this idea which is fundamental to include/understand the
continuation: God created the human ones so that they can live
eternally in a garden of Eden on the scale of planet

we reads now this idea with the concept of sovereignty (of

authority) which we examined. The problems are the following
one: on the one hand, it is God who created the human nature
thus it is the only one with being able to determine exactly
what is well or badly for the human ones; in addition, it
equipped them with the free will (capacity to reason and make
choices). Consequently, so that all goes as well as God wanted
it, it was necessary that the human ones make the choice
accept its authority. They had to accept its sovereignty. To take
again the example of the professor, the students must accept
the fact that it is the method of the professor whom they must
employ to solve the problem of algebra. It is in this condition
that they progress.

God does not force us to serve it, as a dictator would do it who

would require the tender by making use of force. He prefers
that we understand that he wants simply our happiness and
that we voluntarily serve it, of any heart. He said besides in
another context: Me, Jhovah, I am your God, That which
teaches you for [your] profit, That which makes you
walk on the way where you must walk. Ah! so only you
were quite attentive with my commands! Then your
peace would become like a river and your justice like the
waves of the sea. (Isae 48: 18,19) This passage in known
as length on the personality of God! Do you perceive his will to
guide the human ones towards their own happiness, and at
which point it tests regret by seeing the sufferings caused by
the rejection of its authority? God does not change. He still
expresses this same frame of mind and already expressed it in
Eden: he wanted that the human ones accept its supremely to
continue to be happy.

How was it thus caught there so that the human ones make a
clear choice between accepting or rejecting its authority? It has
quite simply creates a symbol of sovereignty while asking Adam
and Eve not to touch there.

The Bible explains: And Jhovah God imposed also this

order on the man: Of any tree of the garden you can eat
to satiety. But as for the tree of the knowledge of the
good and bad, you should not eat some, because the day
when you will eat some, you will undoubtedly die.
(Genesis 2: 16,17). The tradition is fertile as for this event!
Some speak about an apple, as if it were only about one simple
fruit. Others say that the fruit was only one image representing
it sinned sexual between Adam and Eve. However as we saw,
God had asked them to procreate and fill the ground. That
implied sexual relations inevitably.
The Bible, as for it says to us that it was about the tree of the
knowledge of the good and bad. It was a tree which
represented faculty to distinguish what was good or bad for the
human ones. However,we saw it, only God has really this
capacity. God thus created this tree and these fruits so that
they symbolize his sovereignty. Not to consume some meant to
accept the authority of God. In consuming meant, to some
extent, to say to God that one n' need for him did not have to
be happy, that one preferred to assume the right to decide by
us even what was good or bad for us. It would be to reject
divine sovereignty to take its independence of him.

It is really about a fundamental idea in the Bible and it is

important to think of it well. Moreover it contrasts enough with
a current design where one glorifie independence or the fact of
being without God nor Master. That which has moral
principles is seen like weak. To agree to regard God as having
an authority on us thus requires many efforts and humility. But
we just like point out that God wants only our good, the
professor wants the progress of his students.

The dispute of divine sovereignty.

Did Adam and Eve accept or rejected the authority of God? The
Bible answers: But the snake was most careful of all the
wild beasts of the fields which Jhovah God had made.
And it started to say to the woman: Is this true that God
said that you should not eat of any tree of the garden?
But the woman said to the snake: Of the fruit of the
trees of the garden we can eat. But as for [to eat] fruit
of the tree which is in the middle of the garden, God
said: `You should not eat some, not, you should not
touch there, so that you do not die. ' However the snake
called to the woman: You will not die at all. Because
God knows that, the very same day where you will eat
some, your eyes will not fail to open and, undoubtedly,
you will be like God, knowing the good and the bad one.

Then the woman saw that the tree was good for food
and that it was something of enviable for the eyes, yes
the tree was desirable to look at. She thus took her fruit
and ate some. Then it also gave some to her husband,
when he was with her, and he ate some. (Genesis 1: 1-
6)

Thus they made the choice reject the sovereignty of God. They
assumed the right which belongs normally to God: to determine
what is good or bad for the human ones.

But let us return on certain elements of this biblical passage.

He is spoken to us about a snake which speaks to encourage
Eve to take fruit of the tree of the knowledge of the good and
the bad one. A snake which speaks! Should that really be taken
literally? Is not this simply fictitious step? In another passage,
the Bible speaks about the original snake, that which one
calls Diable and Satan (Revelation 12: 9). the explanation
is thus clear: it is not a question of a snake which would have
started to speaking spontaneously. It is Satan Diable1, an angel
One often represents the Devil like a kind of monster red with a
tail, horns, and a fork. That tends to rather regard it as a myth
than like a concrete reality. Satan the Devil is If God exists,
why does it allow the sufferings? rebel, who east made use of a
snake, one can like puppet, to incite Eve to reject the divine
authority. That does not have anything fiction. It is an event
which with really take place, and we will further see we
undergo the consequences of them still today.

Note as the argument as the Devil used to persuade Eve: You

will become like God, knowing the good and the bad one. Into
clear he explained to him why they would not have of account
to return to anybody, that they would enact their own rules,
their own standards morals, while being completely
independent of God. They would obey their own laws. They
would become their own God. And Eve found this idea
attracting, it was something of enviable. And she ate fruit
which gave the capacity to determine what was well or badly.
She gave some to Adam who made in the same way.

Moreover, you noted in which Satan terms spoke about the

manners of acting of God towards the human ones. He claimed
openly that God lied to them and that he voluntarily deprived
them of something of good. As if he wanted to preserve his
sovereignty by pure selfishness. (You will not die at all.
Because God knows that the very same day where you will eat
some, your eyes will not fail to open). In fact the motivations
even of God are questioned here. The question is thus the
following one: is the sovereignty of God really positive for the
human ones, or a simple means that God found to subject them
by pure egoistic desire to receive a worship?

You go account of the intensity of the affront which at made

summer with God? He which very organized on planet by
having in sight its original project of which quite simply a
powerful angel which rebelled with other angels (demons)
against God by simple egoistic desire to receive a worship on
behalf of the human ones. In addition, of a point of considering
purely scientific, Einstein proved thanks to formula E=MC that
energy and the matter are completely interchangeable, they
are the same things in two different forms, like the ice and
steam. Applied to a biblical context, that encourages us to
regard the spiritual beings (including the Devil) as concrete
people goods, people like you and me, but whose body is made
of energy rather than of matter (what implies capacities higher
than ours). If God exists, why does it allow the sufferings? we
spoke: how the human ones eternally live happy under the
ideal conditions of a garden of Eden on the scale of planet! The
sovereignty and the motivations of Jhovah God thus were
deeply called in question. One includes/understands well why
this angel rebels was called Devil, which means slanderer. It
is as if the rebellious student claimed that the professor lied by
teaching bad methods with an only egoistic aim to keep his
station, by ambitiousness, without keeping the least account of
the progress of the students.

The dispute of human fidelity

To claim that God had egoistic objectives and that it ignored the
wellbeing human brought other implications. Indeed, if that
were true, all the human ones, which seeks happiness, would
reject the authority of God. That would not have indeed a
direction to be voluntarily subjected to a harmful authority. How
would Satan the Slanderer begin there to explain why certain
human remain all the same attached to the authority of divine?
But the day arrived where the wire of [true] God entered to be
placed in front of Jhovah, and Satan also entered then in the
middle of them.

The Bible answers: Then Jhovah called to Satan: From which

you come? And Satan answered Jhovah and known as: To
grind by the ground and to circulate there. Then Jhovah
called to Satan: Did you fix your heart on my Job servant?
[You noted] that there is nobody like him on the ground: a just
and right man, fearing God and deviating from the evil? But
Satan answered Jhovah and known as: Is this for only Job
has fears God? Didn't you raise yourself a hedge around
him, his house and all that is with him with the round?
The work of his hands, you blessed it, and its cattle
spread itself on the ground. But, to change, your hand
advances, please, and touches with all that is with him,
[and see] if it is not cursed with your face. Then
Jhovah called to Satan: See! All that is with him is in
your hand. Against him only your hand does not
advance! And Satan left near the person Jhovah.
(Job 1: 7-12)

Jhovah God held a meeting in the sky with the anges1, and
Satan was present there. God then drew the attention of the
Devil to Job, a just man who always respected the divine
authority. It was as an answer which God gave to the Devil as
for his calumnies. It is as if he said to him You claim that my
sovereignty deprives the human ones of something of good for
them. But looks in what a not Job remains to me faithful! It is
attached to me and my authority. It would reject me if my
authority were so negative that. Its attitude contradicts your
charges! .

Satan, as for him, takes again the same argument of

selfishness to apply it to Job by asking whether it is for only Job
respects the divine authority. He thus claims that Job respects
the sovereignty of God by interest, because God protects his
goods and his family in return.
Perhaps you know the continuation. God allows Satan to test
the motivations of Job. In only one day, Satan makes kill all its
family (except its wife which will incite it to disavow God) and
makes him lose the totality of its goods. Job is in an extreme
pain but remains faithful to God. Then Satan returns to the
load. It is invited in another meeting held by Jhovah God in
the sky: Then Jhovah called to Satan: From which you
come? And Satan answered Jhovah and known as: To
grind by the ground and to circulate there. Then
Jhovah called to Satan: Did you fix your heart on my
Job servant? [You noted] that there is nobody like him
on the ground: a just and right man, fearing God and
deviating from the evil? And it holds always firm its
integrity, although you excite me against him to absorb
it without reason. But Satan answered Jhovah and
known as: Skin for skin, and all that a man has, it will
give it for its heart. To change, your hand advances,
please, and touches to its bone and with its flesh, [and
see] if it is not cursed with your face. (Job 2: 2-5)

Note the description which the Bible of the activities of the

spiritual creatures makes: they are organized, they hold of the
meetings, they speak, they reason. They are people with whole
share, real people goods. God still draws the attention of Satan
to the fidelity of Job, like saying: You claimed that it accepted
my authority by pure interest. But looks at! Even when it has
neither family any more nor well, there continues to remain to
me faithful. That contradicted your charges! Satan retorts
whereas it is because it was not touched personally, in its
pulpit, that Job remains still faithful. God then allows him to
test Job in concerning directly in his pulpit with the proviso of
not removing the life to him. Satan then gives to Job a terrible
disease, a kind of feeling reluctant leprosy. It encourages as
three people to go psychologically to destabilize it while seeking
to make it make feel guilty and by saying to him, amongst
other things, as it does not have any value with the eyes of
God. This one is so much depity which he claims with God
death; but it keeps its fidelity, proving without the knowledge
that the charges of the Devil were only pure calumnies.
Thereafter, God blesses it while returning health to him and
giving him the double of all that it had before.
But let us reconsider a very important expression that to use
Satan: All that a man has, it will give it for its heart. Satan
does not speak solely about Job, here. It generalizes its charge
with all the human ones, as if it were a fundamental
characteristic of the human being to disavow God if it is
touched in his flesh. It is in fact the relations even between God
and humanity that Satan questions; they would be based on
egoistic interests: God would subject the human ones by desire
to be venerated, and the human ones would agree to obey to
him with an only aim of maintaining their goods material and
their health out of any threat. Moreover, we recall that this
conversation between God and the Devil took place publicly,
before a whole assembly of angels, just like the student with
called in question the authority of the professor in front of all
the class. It was necessary thus that this question is settled
definitively so that no doubt can remain in the spirit of the
other angels.

Jhovah God was to thus justify his sovereignty. It was it on a

limited scale, that of Job. But since Satan generalized its
remarks with whole humanity, it is on the scale of planet that
God must now do it.

Finally justified divine sovereignty.

How Jhovah does it thus proceed? Just like the professor could
have driven out the rebellious student of his course, it could
have destroyed Satan at once; but that would not have
regulated the basic problem which was to justify the founded
good of its authority. A direct proof was necessary.

The professor left the student rebels outward journey in the

table to try to prove what he said. Its failure in the resolution of
the problem proved in an undeniable way that the professor
was right. similarly, since Adam and Eve took fruit of the tree
which gave them independence with respect to God, the proof
would be brought by the failure of this attempt. If humanity did
not succeed in being happy while being independent of God,
that would like to say that the authority of God on the human
ones beneficial and is justified. It would be the final proof which
God wants it many human and which it is not justified by
egoistic desires.

Here thus where we are in the history of humanity! By Adam

and Eve, we inherited as of the possibility of being independent
of Jhovah. We see it besides very well: all the systems which
are around us with an aim of getting that to us for which we
have needs (political systems, legal, economic, medical,
educational, scientist, social) are created and organized by
human them-even. Often, they have certain positive effects.
But overall, the biblical report is essential: the man
dominated the man with his detriment (Ecclsiaste 8:
9). Indeed, the human ones are purely and simply in the
suffering. Economic crises, unemployment, social conflict,
terrorism, wars, diseases, climatic disordered state. Without
speaking owing to the fact that the things worsen and that the
human ones lose up to values considered as natural. Thus
violence is spread until in the families, including towards the
children. People tend more and more to behave like animals,
without morals nor conscience. Is this there the desirable
happiness so promised by the Devil, that was to bring the
dependence with respect to God?

This failure shouting of human constitutes the proof that the

charges of the Devil were false: divine sovereignty is beautiful
and quite legitimate.

You include/understand then why God does not intervened to

solve the problems of the human ones. It is not by disinterest,
but because it must let them even seek solutions by them,
ndependently of him. When the student rebels finds himself in
the table to try to solve the problem of algebra, the professor
does not help it but lets it be mistaken since it is the means of
even proving to him its twist. Pareillement, God leaves the
human ones in the suffering, temporarily, because it is the
means of even proving definitively that its sovereignty is the
only means for them of being happy. Like known as the
Bible, To the man drawn from the ground its way does
not belong. It does not belong to the man who walks to
direct his step (Jrmie It is this fundamental truth only
the human sufferings 10: 23). allow to reaffirm.
Thus, we had put a question at the beginning of this text: why
God does it allow the sufferings? You know the answer now: it
allows the sufferings to justify its sovereignty on the
human ones,to prove clearly that they cannot be happy
by rejecting its authority.

An original project still of topicality.

But will God leave us indefinitely in this situation? Of course
that not! God does not change; thus if it had the project that
the human ones are happy and live eternally in a garden of
Eden on the scale of planet, it still has it.

How will it thus begin there to carry it out? The Bible

answers: God of the sky will establish a kingdom which
will never be removed. And the kingdom will not pass to
any other people. It will crush all these kingdoms and
will put an end to it, and itself will remain for indefinite
times (Daniel 2: 44).

I continued to look in the visions of the night, and, see:

with the clouds of the skies somebody came from similar
to a son from man; he had access near Old days, and one
made it approach in front of That one. And one gave him
domination, dignity and kingdom, so that the people,
national communities and languages all serve it. Its
domination is a domination of indefinite duration which
will not pass, and its kingdom, [a kingdom] which will
not be removed (Daniel 7: 13,14)

Come, see the acts of Jhovah, how it put events

amazing on the ground. It puts an end to the wars until
the end of the ground. The arc, it breaks it, yes it puts in
parts the lance; it burns the carriages with fire. Stop
and will know that I am God. Yes, I will rise among the
nations, yes I will rise on the ground. (Psalms 46:

Then I heard a strong voice coming from the throne to

say: See! The tent of God is with the human ones, and it
will reside with them, and they will be its people. And
God himself will be with them. And it will essuiera any
tear of their eyes, and death will not be any more;
neither mourning, neither cry, nor pain will be more. The
old things disappeared.

And That which had sat on the throne said: See! I am

making all new things. And he says: Write, because
these words are faithful and true. (Revelation 21: 3-5)

These biblical passages refer to a kingdom of heaven, a

government with the clean direction of the term, that God will
use to re-establish his sovereignty on the human ones and to
carry out his original project. It will physically eliminate all the
human systems and all those which will have shown that they
reject its authority. Very many verses biblical go in this
direction and explain in detail how is formed this government,
which of are members, how it will intervene in businesses
human, how the human ones will react, which conditions he will
found on planet, which he will occur of the Devil God
enormously gives us details in his word, which proves to us at
which point it is given to carry out his project in the long term.
These words are faithful and true he in Revelation 21:5
insists.

Do not hesitate to study the Bible thoroughly if you want to

know all that.

All in all, God tolerates spite and the human suffering during a
time limited to justify his sovereignty, but it soon will intervene
directly in the human businesses to restore its authority and to
re-establish the paradisiac conditions which it provided as of
the beginning.

A personal choice.

But how can you reach the paradisiac conditions that God will
found by his government?

You point out that all resides in the problems of the justification
of the authority of God. To profit from these conditions, it is
necessary that you show with God, in your life, that you to
accept his authority. That thus implies study its word the Bible
to include/understand all the extent of its project for the human
ones, and to make your to better apply the principles than will
find you there. The more you will learn how to know the
attractive personality of Jhovah God, the more you will stick to
him and these principles, like Job. It will like this attitude and
you will feel concretely in your life to which point him also stuck
to you and takes care on you. Moreover, you will contribute to
prove that the charges of the Devil according to which all those
which serve God would make it by egoistic interest, are false.

Like God says to us in his word: Would be wise, my son, and

delighted my heart, so that I can answer that which causes me
(Proverb 27: 11) Your fidelity with God will be like an answer
given to provocative calumnies of the Devil. However to acquire
wisdom divine about which this passage speaks (what implies
the acceptance of teaching that God transmits in the Bible) is a
personal choice. We said it: Jhovah is not a dictator and does
not force anybody to accept his authority. It is thus with you,
personally, to only make this choice. Do not have any doubt but
if you act in this direction, God will bless you as it has blesses
Job. It

will give access to you the conditions which its kingdom will
establish and you will benefit then fully from the true life that
it prepared for us as of the beginning. Will then achieve for you
also this promise: A Little time still, and the malicious one
will not be any more; yes, you will examine his place,
and it will not be. But the humble ones will have the
ground, and really they will be dlecteront of the
abundance of peace. (Psalms 37: 10,11)

That Jhovah makes that these some pages touch your heart,
that you make the choice approach you him, and that you can
dlecter of the abundance of peace in the new system!
