Originally established in 1987 as the Granly Forge and Enginccring Works AS, the
Granly Group AS has grown from strength to strength, to establish itself and its,
subsidiaries as a market leader with internationally recognised brands.
The group handles a variety of different work for both the on and offshore markets
catering to the markets for wind energy, oil and gas, ship building and repair, con-
struction, heavy industry and agriculture.
In 2009 the Granly Group expanded upon the success of Granly Steel AS to in-
crease its support for its international markets through the inclusion of RMG Steel
AS. Granly Steel is a full-service supplier of stcel, stainless stccl and aluminium,
and is supported in its work by its sister company Ceropa AS, which specialises in
pressure die casting in both aluminium and zinc. Based within China, RMG Steel Bice r esc cch ctr
has not only carved out its ow share ofthe Chinese éomestic see! marke, but now GAA eee ee ee ca
also exports its products to the US too. This is a significant achievement consider-
ing both countries’ domestic production capabilities.
A great deal of Granly’s expertise in metals has come from the close working relationships its subsidiary Esbjerg Shipyard
maintains with its clients and customers. Esbjerg Shipyard services the Port of Esbjerg area which is Deamark’s largest North
Sea port, and is the port of origin for fully wo thirds of Europe’s offshore wind projects. During its lifetime, the shipyard has
met challenges for a variety of different industries and for all forms of vessels up to 4,500 tonnes, The support of its sister
‘company Granly Steel has been invaluable in providing optimal solutions and their co-supportive relationship has allowed for
both companies to expand in expertise and ability very rapidly.
Most recently in 2014, Granly introduced Grumsen Maskinfabrik AS to its family of companies, adding additional support to
the Group's services to the Esbjerg port area for solutions in winch production, steering gears, ship repairs, engine overhauls
and a variety of hydraulic work. Alongside supporting the shipping industry, the Granly Group also assists the many indus-
trics and organisations which thrive on the quaysidc too, for systems such as dock side crancs, ship hoists, loaders and fabri-
cation facilities amongst others.
‘Today's Granly’s enhanced reputation has resulted in the company (through the subsidiary Granly Diesel AS) being the sole
distributer for Cummins” diesel systems for Denmark, Greenland and the Faroe islands, no small feat given Denmark’s lead-
ing position in the shipping industry. In addition, the Group leads the Danish markets for smaller diesel systems through an-
other part of the family: Kubota Motorer Danmark AS; providing a complete solution to the diesel engine markets.
With its proven track record in its core businesses and a demonstrable ability to adapt to very different markets for customers
all around the globe, the Granly Group is the logical choice for international customers looking for world class support with
local expertise.
