Prevention control of infection diseases include the following:

1. Mass-scale mesuares aimed at improvement of public health, prevention and

spread of infection diseases,

2. Medical mesuares aimed at reduction of infectious, morbidity and eradication

of some diseases

3. Health education and involvment of population in prevention or restriction of

the spread of infection diseases

4. Prevention of infectionfrom other countries diseases

Improvement of peoples well-being, abequate housing, medical aid, and health

education shoud be abequately planned carried out.

Preventive sanitary sypervision is also nesessary. Industrial objects, residetiai

houses, chidrens and medical institutions shoud be constructed with strict
adherence to the special sanitary requirements that are intended to improve labour
and living conditions, prevention of oneset and spread of infection diseases.

Antiepidemic mesuares -

- Aimed to control infection diseases taken by medical personal are divided into
preventive and anti-epidemic.

preventive mesuares are carried regadless of the presence or absence of infection

diseases at a given time at locality.

anti-epidemic mesuares are nesessary when an infection diseases develops. It has

aiready been said that the following three basic factors are nesessary for
development of epidemic:

Each country must have spesial system of Mesuares aimed at prevention of import
of infection diseases from abroad, and if an infection is taken inyo a country
Mesuares shoud be taken into a country, Mesuares shoud be taken to prevent its
spreading.

Quarantine shoud be organised in cases of plague. Cholera, Yellow fever) (smallpox

has been completely eradicated in the world by 1982)

Quarantine mesuares should be taken International sea and river port, airport and

Profylactic and antiepidemic mesuares are therefore aimed at control of the

sourse of infection,
Disruption of route by which infection spreads and strengthening of non-

2) availubility of special medical documentation (International sertificate of

vaccination, sertificate of deratisation, and the like; muct be checked

special mesuares should be taken to protect import and spreading of infection

diseases.

Preventive mesuares should also be taken against haemorrhagic fever, louse-born,

recurrent fever, malaria, antrax, brucelosis, myeloidosis, rabies, psittacosis, that
can be imported from other countries.

CONTROL OF infection sourse

Patients with some infection diseases liberate the pathogenic microorganisms

into the environment during the last days of the incubation peroid and during the
first day of the diseases.
An infection diseases is diagnosed on the basis of clinical finding, epidemiologic
anamnesis and laboratory tests.

All Patients with the diagnosis of an infection disease shood be entered into a
special record. All cases of infection disease or suspected cases should be entered
into the record, and the higher epidemiologist authoirities should be informed not
later than within 24 hours. In case of plague cholera or other disease that
requires Quarantine
mesuares, local medical personal must inform the higher authoirities on the Health
system.
