Employment
2016-2017: Altec Industries Inc. Product Development Co-op
Typical Duties: Worked with the Product Engineering Group developing and testing prototype features
and new products for the industry of truck mounted aerial lifts. Contributed to rapid continuous
improvement (Kaizen) events to improve work standards and processes quickly and efficiently. During my
second semester with Altec, I plan on working with the Manufacturing Group and hope to learn how the
plant produces the lifts at such a large volume while still retaining the quality that Altec is known for.
Projects: Worked on a cross-plant team developing a load sensing system for aerial lifts using strain gages.
Created testing systems necessary to give engineers data to improve the design over the course of each
test with the use of Labview. Worked on the project from start to finish observing the full design process
along with helping present the product to the first large customer. Personally developed a universal
testing system through the use of Labview, NI modular hardware, and CAN modules capable of taking in
40 strain gages at a rate of 3000 samples per second. The system could also take in a combination of
other sensors such as thermocouples, accelerometers, pressure sensors, and current sensors that added
up to 100+ sensors and made the data easy to understand on customizable graphs.

2014-2016: SWECO, Division of Schlumberger Industrial Engineering Co-op

Typical Duties: Worked with the Industrial Engineering Group and Technical Sales team designing custom
vibratory processing equipment. Communicated with customers and Technical Sales to ensure proper
design of equipment. Designed Full assemblies and weldments through CAD software for each custom
piece of equipment. Followed custom equipment through manufacturing and assembly monitoring for
problems and answering questions. Communicated with vendors for special components and hardware.
In charge of CAD file support to provide customers with models of machinery for plant layouts while
protecting intellectual property in the files.
Projects: 3-D printing project creating large scaled models of machinery with section views to display to
customers at meetings and trade shows. Reverse Engineering of all electric motors to have accurate CAD
files for design and aftermarket sales. Instructional video project via youtube to aide customers in
assembling and installing aftermarket parts. Dynamic vibrational testing with accelerometers to validate
that prototype machinery was separating at correct frequencies and amplitudes.

2012 -2014: City of Westlake Department of Public Service: Division of Roads

Knowledgeable on the process of road repair including concrete and asphalt, and also the procedure of
how each project was surveyed and completed through communication with engineers, supervisors, and
third parties. Have experience with concrete saws, drills, and other machinery.

Skills
Computer proficiency in Matlab, Labview, BPCS and Teamcenter product data management, SolidEdge,
SolidWorks, STAR-CCM+ , INSIGHT 3D printing software, Microsoft Office, NI modular hardware, and
familiar with other FEA software such as ANSYS Fluent.
