Describe the instructional activities that will occur prior to the SRS activity and how you will
introduce the SRS activity: The teacher will explain how to communicate and describe things in terms of
numbers, shapes, textures, size, weight, color and motion. In order to review the lesson, the teacher will
pass out tablets for the quiz or students may use computers if they want. Students may also be given the
opportunity to pair up with classmates. The teacher will explain to students that they are to use the quiz to
review and help them study for the test. Once students are ready, the SRS activity will begin.

them from their bag. The teacher will explain to students how to use the program and how to answer the

scores at the end of the quiz but will not be able to see correct answers. Students will be able to take the
quiz more than once in order to practice for the final test. Once finished, the teacher will collect the

Right/Wrong Answers: Will there be right/wrong answers to these questions? Yes No

Mixed (Some will have correct answers, others will not.)
Immediate corrective feedback:
Will you pre-select correct answers to some or all of the questions and display correct response to the class
after the SRS activity? Yes No
Why or why not? I want students to keep taking the quiz until they have mastered the skills. I dont want
to give students the answers because I want them to have to think about what the answer could be each time
they take the test.
Use of data: Individual student data will be collected. Students will be able to see how many questions
they got wrong so they know if they need to work more on this skill or not. The data will be used by the
teacher to know who needs re teaching or extra help with the concept. The data will also be used by the
student to know where they are at and if they need to put more time into learning the material. It is used to
monitor individual progress. Data will be used to differentiate instruction, students who seem to have
mastered the material will move onto the next topic, students who seem to be struggling will continue to
work on the topic.
Describe what will occur after the SRS activity: The devices will be collected and the teacher will ask if
there are any questions. Teacher will tell students they can take this quiz whenever they want to practice.
Describe your personal learning goal for this activity. I have never taught this standard or used an
SRS before. Socrative is new to me, but it seems like a great tool to help get the students engaged and
excited. I hope to see how my students respond to Socrative and if it will be an effective way to review a
topic. I think this will be a great tool for students to have when practicing on their own.
