SUMMARY CHAPTERS ONE AND TWO

About eighteen months ago Kate and Mike Sullivan had an exciting adventure at sea with their parents and their
friend Carlos. They were on their dads new boat and one night Kate saw the ghost of a boy. Then their parents
were in danger and they helped them get off an old Spanish ghost ship, where Mike found a pirate treasure map.
He hid the map in his room and his parents didnt know about it. Now their dad was planning another boat trip to
the Farallon Islands to study the sea life in the area. Kate, Mike and Carlos were excited because they wanted to
look for the pirate treasure together.

Hace unos dieciocho meses Kate y Mike Sullivan tenan una emocionante aventura en el mar con
sus padres y su amigo Carlos. Ellos estaban en el nuevo barco de su padre y una noche Kate vio
el fantasma de un nio. Entonces, sus padres se encontraban en peligro, por lo que les ha
ayudado a obtener un antiguo barco fantasma espaol, donde Mike encontr un mapa del tesoro
del pirata. l escondi el mapa en su habitacin y sus padres no saban. Ahora su padre estaba

SUMMARY CHAPTERS THREE AND FOUR

Kate, Mike and Carlos met at the Sullivans house and looked at the map. It had some important clues and Carlos
helped with the Spanish words. The Sullivans boat left San Francisco on a foggy morning and got to Bodega Bay in
the early afternoon. The three friends went to the hills and looked for the water well because they thought the
treasure was hidden there. But they found nothing. The next day they decided to follow the red lines on the map
and went to Doran Beach. Carlos discovered a cave and they went inside and found a treasure chest. They were
very excited and tried to break the old lock with a stone. Carlos finally broke it.

Kate, Mike y Carlos se reunieron en la casa de los Sullivans y miraron en el mapa. El mapa tena
algunas pistas importantes y Carlos ayud con las palabras en espaol. El barco Sullivans sali
de San Francisco en una neblina maana y llegaron a Bodega Bay en las primeras horas de la
tarde. Los tres amigos se dirigieron a las colinas, y buscaron el pozo de agua porque pensaban
que el tesoro estaba oculto. Pero no encontraron nada. Al da siguiente, decidieron seguir las
lneas rojas en el mapa y se fueron a Doran Playa. Carlos descubri una cueva y ellos entraron
en ella y encontraron un bal del tesoro. Ellos estaban muy excitados y intentaron romper el
viejo candado con una piedra. Carlos finalmente lo rompi.

SUMMARY CHAPTER FIVE TO SEVEN

Mike opened the treasure chest and found a skeleton. Carlos looked inside the skeletons hat and found a piece of
paper with the word Robles on it. Suddenly water started coming into the cave and the three friends sent Lucky to
look for help. Some men on the beach helped them get out of the cave. The next day they explored the Hacienda
Estrada and a cemetery. When they got to the old lighthouse at Twin Oaks Point, Carlos remembered that the
word Robles meant oak in Spanish. They looked under the oak trees and found a tombstone. The next day they
returned to the oak trees with Mr and Mrs Sullivan. They dug under the tombstone and found the pirate treasure.

Mike abri el cofre del tesoro y encontr un esqueleto. Carlos mir dentro del sombrero del
esqueleto y encontr un trozo de papel con la palabra Robles. De repente empez a entrar el
agua en la cueva y los tres amigos enviaron a Lucky en busca de ayuda. Algunos hombres en la
playa les ayudaron a salir de la cueva. Al da siguiente ellos exploraron la Hacienda Estrada y un
cementerio. Cuando llegaron a el antiguo faro de (Twin Oaks Point), Carlos record que la palabra
Robles significaba roble en Espaol. Ellos miraron bajo los robles y encontraron una lapida. El
da siguiente, ellos volvieron a los robles con Sr y Sra. Sullivan. Ellos excavaron debajo de la
lapida y encontraron el tesoro del pirata.
