Introductory Approach

Now teacher will introduce topic in front of the class that today we will study about SVO

pattern. First of all teacher will explain that SVO stands for Subject-Verb-Object and this is

the basic pattern of sentence making. Now question arises what comes in Subject, Verb and

Object.
Sentence is defined as two or more words combined together to form a complete sense.

Every sentence has three essential parts like S stands for subject V stands for verb and O

stands for object.

Subject is called doer or the person who performs action as any noun or pronoun like

Asma, Ali, they, we etc.

Verb is called action or doing of work like sit, cut, put, drink, read, write, walk and jump

etc.
Object is defined on which action is performed, in this category mostly objective

pronoun and noun is used like her, him, us etc.

When a sentence is started first subject is entered then verb and at the end object is

used like

Subject Verb Object

Asma plays with her doll.

She cooks food.

They work hard.

Note: Sentence always starts with a capital letter and ends with a full stop.
