Student Teacher, Unified School District 250, Pittsburg, KS and Southeast High School,
Cherokee, KS, Spring 2017
Planned and instructed Kindergarten through 12th grade art students in 2-D and 3-D
medias, managed the art classroom and maintained daily roll.

Preschool Teacher, Spiva Center for the Arts, Fall 2016-Spring 2017
Taught approximately 6-10 students from 3-6 years old art lessons that introduced them
to art materials such as how to use scissors safely, making paper mache sculptures,
making clay pinch pots and many other introductory art techniques.

Teacher and Event Organizer, Pittsburg State Universitys Family Art Day, Fall 2016
Organized a National Park themed Family Art Day, which involved advanced planning
and contacting local art teachers regularly, picking up student artwork from the local
schools, exhibiting the artwork, gathering volunteers for the event, providing
refreshments, and teaching activities throughout the day.

Teacher/ Camp Assistant, Spiva Center for the Arts, Summer 2016
Taught students for a week about clay techniques such as coil building, pinch pot, and
slab building.
Taught students for a week on how to draw using different mediums such as chalk, oil
pastels, ink, and charcoal. At the end of the week they created a mural that is being
exhibited at the Spiva Center for the Arts.
Assisted professional artist and art educators with the printmaking, sculpture, and
painting camps by preparing materials and assisting with students.

Official Judge, Three Rivers League Art Show, Spring 2016


Judged high school artworks based on creativity, originality, presentation, skill, and
technique.
