Present Job Profile :- Working as Sr Manager of urea plant in production and assisting
Dy.General Manager and G.M (production) in all functional activities of Urea Production at IFFCO
Kalol.
1.Worked as Control Room incharge ( Urea ) in OMIFCO ( Oman India Fertilizer Company) at Sur , Oman
2. OMIFCO is a Joint venture Company between Omans number one Oil Company and Indias
Number one leading Fertilizer Company I.F.F.CO.
3. As per personnel Supply Agreement (PSA ) Between above said two Companies , Manpower will
be supplying by IFFCO to run the OMIFCO plant for 10 Years ,SO far IFFCO is releasing their
Employees on Suspended Lien for two years to work in OMIFCO.
4. As Per above said Point No : 3 , I have joined in OMIFCO on 07/10/2008 and my tenure of more
than two years have been completed on 15/12/2010 in OMIFCO .
Work experience:-
Operating experience of 21 years in Urea fertilizer in Different Technologies( Viz . Snam progetti
& stamicarbon)of IFFCO Organisation in India & OMIFCO Organization in Sultanate Of Oman .
Presently Working at IFFCO Kalol as a Sr. Manager (Urea Production ). my wide experience
mentioned in the following areas .

In the year 1997 De-bottlenecking of plant was done with the help of M/s StamiCarbon .The salient
features of the Debottlenecking were.
Replacement of Autoclave sieve trays with High Efficiency trays.
Orifice on H.P Stripper tubes to increase performance.
Additional L.P Condenser.
Additional H.P Ammonia & H.P Carbamate pumps (Peroni Make)
New Hitachi make Centrifugal Compressor.
Orifice on Rectifying Column Pre-heater tubes to increase performance.
Addition of Pre Evaporator Section.
Resizing of piping to accommodate additional load.
1. Original Semi Graphic Pneumatic Panel was changed to latest available Yokogawa Centum CS with
touch operating system in 1997 and DCS (VP)system built on UNIX /window vista, operating
system with out touch screen panel in 2011 Annual Turn Around( ATA-2011).
3. The turbine speed control and protection is through 505 E Woodward Electronic Governing
system.
4. An Omron PLC system is there to protect the Compressor/ Turbine from any abnormal operating
Condition.
2. Start up activities are planned in advance. Check lists are prepared and due care is taken to start
plant safely and within stipulated time.
3. Trouble shooting is done at all stages during start up, shut down ,pre-commissioning
Commissioning of new projects & running plant smoothly and also inter unit incident reporting is
done to share trouble shooting experience.
4. Check list/punch list was prepared during new projects commissioning to complete in time of the
Project through under working staff..
5. All Relevant documents such as Plant Modifications , Change of Process Parameters if any
,OSHAS 18001-2007 and ISO-9001(QMS) +14001-2000 (EMS) keeping for future reference .
1 Man power handling and training is given prime importance. Moral of the working staff is boosted
up by rewarding them with awards for good performance and suggestions.
3. Maintain Good House keeping inside the plant and its records for Monthly audit of Internal GHK
Team
4. Represent and Discuss the plant problems in Core Meeting (All Departments) ,Production meeting
and safety floor (HSE) Meeting for safe , to avoid any hazards inside the plant and meet the
targeted production in day to day working life.

2 . I was also actively involved in initial plant trouble shooting during pre-commissioning &
Commissioning activities of the plant in 1996 & 1997.
Team Achievements:-
Commissioning experience in Urea Plant (Technology viz. Snam progetti & Stami Carbon )
Successfully changed over from Semi-graphic panel to DCS panel
Identified & solved the problem of poor performance of H.P.Stripper
Identified the problem of frequent poor pumping of H.P.Carbamate pumps
Successfully implemented steam passivation system
Identified the problem of frequent overflowing of Prill bucket
Developed PLC for Evaporation Prilling section
Maintaining high standards of House Keeping
Training of subordinates and motivating them for active participation in suggestion scheme.
Keeping morale of subordinates high in working with reduced manpower
Personal Achievements :-
1. Suggestion relating to steam saving in Compressor section by providing by pass line of CO2 spray
Cooler implemented.
2. Identified and solved the problem of frequent surging of CO2 compressor due to which plant
startup was getting delayed.
4. Identified the problem of reverse operation of temperature control valve of NH3 system due to
which Plant could not be run with mixed feed of Hot/Cold NH3
5 .Identified the problem of H.P System pressure shooting up during the prlling section has under
shut down condition ,due to crash problems was arising in the section
6. Identified the problem of urea prills carrying belt conveyors for not having trip interlock system to
Divert prilling ,when power supply cut down or failure
7. Identified the problem of not getting pre-evaporator vacuum to concentrate urea solution from 70%
to 82% .
