Pray for the church in Matagalpa, Nicaragua. Pray for
Pastor Arnold and his family. Pray that they will continue to
see Gods faithfulness in the church with new conversions
and people growing in the knowledge of Jesus Christ.

Thoughts for Young Men by J.C. Ryle
Theres a reason this is the recommended book for the entire
congregation. This is one of those books that speaks to a
wider audience than the title suggests. Thoughts for Young
Men can teach us all about time and opportunity, sin and
repentance, and a life lived to the fullest. -Pastor Andrew

Get to Know Canyon
For anyone who would like to know more about Canyon Bible
Church of Prescott, or considering church membership, we
will be having our next Get to Know Canyon Class on Sunday,
April 30th at Prescott High School after the worship service.

Sunday, May 7th Service
On Sunday, May 7th there will be an evening worship service
in place of the normal morning service. Service time will be
5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Student Ministries
Save the Date! High School Summer Camp, Camp Regen
will be from June 29July 3, 2017. The cost will be $450
and scholarships are available. Registration will open soon.

James Gems widows group will be meeting for a Lunch

 Monday
In light of yesterdays passage (John 13:31-35), how can
you trust Christ more in your current trial? And, how can
you love other believers as Christ has loved you?
Tuesday
The call of Christ is to deny ourselves and to let go of
our lives. To relinquish control of our lives, to surrender
everything we are, everything that we do, our direction our
safety our security is no longer found in the things of this
world. It is found in Christ. David Platt
Pray and ask the Lord that you surrender your life to Him
and that you seek Christ more and more each day.
Wednesday
In 1 Peter 3:15 Peter speaks of a believer always being
prepared to make a defense. Peter is saying that
the believer must understand what they believe and
why they are a Christian. They also must be able to
articulate those beliefs in a biblical and thoughtful way.
Pray and ask the Lord for a greater understanding of
these things so that you are prepared to humbly, with
gentleness and respect to make a defense to anyone
who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you.
Thursday
Yesterday, from 1 Peter 3:15, Peter instructs that the
believer is to always be prepared to make a defense.
This defense is that the believer would provide a reason
for the hope that is in you. This hope is salvation and with
it the anticipation of eternal glory. As a believer pray and
thank the Lord for your salvation and the eternal glory that
is anticipated because of Christs sacrifice on your behalf.
