will be to write an essay on the black
death and how it affected Europe. Go
into how bacteria grow and show that
they must make a table of their own to
show how diseases get out of hand

Exploration:Class will head to the library


and begin researching the Black Death.
They must include 5 facts (years it
occurred ect.) they find in the library in
the essay along with a more detailed
symptom sheet

Explanation: Students will type a rough


draft of their essay to turn in. This essay
should include a general historical
description of what the black death was
and what it was about. It should also
include a paragraph going over what it's
symptoms were.

Elaboration: Students will fill out a


bacterial expansion paper show how
bacteria grow exponentially and have at
least a paragraph as to why this can be a
problem

Evaluation: I will grade rough drafts and


bacterial expansion papers

Closure: Class will migrate back to the


class room. They will type a final draft
for homework or the following class
(even during the end of class if time is
going really well) depending on weather
I can grade their rough drafts before the
end of class.
