Charge: NYS Penal Law Section 175.35- Offering a false instrument for filing in the first degree- E-Felony
NYS Penal Law Section 158.10- Welfare fraud in the third degree- D-Felony
NYS Penal Law Section 155.35 Grand larceny in the third degree D-Felony

The Saratoga County Sheriffs office in conjunction with the Department of Social Services special investigation unit
arrested four Saratoga County residents on charges for alleged public assistance fraud. All persons arrested had
submitted documentation to the Saratoga County Department of Social Services in an attempt to receive benefits they
were not entitled to receive. These four individuals combined to receive more than $37,000.00 from the Saratoga
County Department of social Services. All persons arrested were charged with 3 counts of offering a false instrument for
filing in the first degree, and single counts of Welfare fraud in the third degree, and grand larceny in the third degree.
The four were arraigned in the Town of Milton Court and released on their own recognizance
