Standard English capitalization, punctuation, and spelling when writing.

Objective (s):
I want the students to spell simple words phonetically, drawing on knowledge of
sound and letter relationships.

Materials:
- Pencils - Dry erase markers
- Crayon/ color pencil - ABC chart worksheet
- Paper
- Clipboards
- White boards

Instructional Procedures:
We will do a field trip tour activity. I will take the students on a little field trip around
the school outside and inside. I will determine safe and accessible place for students
to make observations and find things about the school community. If it possible, I
will choose a variety location to show the students many different part to the school
community. The field trip will last approximately 10 to 20 minute. While the students
are observing different places, things and people. I will be given them each an
Alphabet chart, clipboard, and pencil to use during the walk around the school.
Students should be record by drawing and writing their observation on the Alphabet
chart next to the letter that fits for the object. For example, when a student sees
slide on the playground they draw slide, or write slide in the Ss box of the
alphabet chart. I will also help students with any difficult words that need to be
spelled.

Family Connections: (take home activity)

I want the students to take home the Alphabet chart with them and I want them to
go out around the neighbor with their family. I want the students to observing what
they see around the neighborhood. For example, if they sees a neighbor dog, they
will record drawing the dog or write down Dd Dog in the box of the alphabet chart.
I want them to have fun and enjoy doing this activity with their family.

Differentiation for Diverse Learners:

I will give them a partner to pair up and I want them to come up and spell the words
on the board in front of the class. I want them to help each other out.

skill/concept?)
With this lesson, while the students are doing the whiteboard activity of those
