Ablade Glover (b. 1934, Accra Ghana)
A foremost African Artist. He studied
in Ghana, Great Britain and United
State. Professor Glover has a number
of distinctions which shows his
importance as an art educator and an
artist. After retiring from university
work in 1994, Ablade Glover focused
21 on his passion as a painter and
started the most productive years of
his artistic life, his mature period,
with a steady production of highly
acclaimed and intensely dynamic oil
paintings, his work glows on
constantly changing urban spaces or
natural environments.
Easily recognized as a father of
African Contemporary Art, Ablade
Glover is recognized internationally as
a face of African Art. He believes the
artist is a guardian of the traditions
and culture of his society.
Dr. Glover has accumulated a number
of distinctions, which show his
importance as an artist and
enthusiastic educator on the national
and international scene. Until 1994
he was Associate Professor and Head
of the Department of Art Education
and Dean of the College of Art at the
University of Science and Technology,
Kumasi, Ghana. More recently, in
1998, he was awarded the FLAGSTAR
Award (top award for Arts in Ghana
by the ACRAG in Ghana;
Distinguished AFGRAD Alumni Award
by the African-American Institute in
New York, and he is a Life Fellow of
the Royal Society of Art in London. He
is also listed in 'Who's Who in the
World', 'Dictionary of Contemporary
International Artists' and 'Who's Who
in Art and Antiques'.

Kolade Oshinowo had his art training from
the renowned Ahmadu Bello University,
with his specialization in painting. Upon
graduating he followed his passion for
producing and teaching art, soon lecturing
at Yaba College of Technology and
eventually becoming its Deputy Rector.
Oshinowo's paintings express his love for
depicting realities in his surroundings and
his deep commitment to continually
producing excellent artworks. He is easily
recognized at home and abroad as a
foremost Nigerian and African artist.
Kolade Oshinowo (b. 1948) excelled in art
from his primary and secondary school days,
participating in various competitions in
which he won prizes. He studied at Ahmadu
Bello University, Zaria, specializing in
Painting. He later taught Art at Kings
College; and the Yaba College of Technology,
Lagos, where he was the Director, the School
of Art and Printing, and Deputy Rector of the
college. Oshinowo has taken part in
numerous solo and joint exhibitions in
Nigeria and abroad. His works can be found
in many public and private collections.

George Edozie (b. 1972)

George Edozie was born on the 11th of May 1972 in Enugu
state Nigeria. He studied Fine and Applied Arts at the
University of Benin where he majored in Painting. BA (Hons
Fine and Applied Arts) graduated in 1996. George has had 5
solo Exhibition and over 98 group Exhibitions within and
outside Nigeria. His last solo exhibition titled 'Shifting the
Paradigm' hosted by the Museum Of Contemporary Art North
Miami Florida, was listed among the 4 best exhibition at the
Art Basel Miami 2014.His sculpture Okpulu (Grandma's
Basket) is a permanent collection at the Museum of
contemporary Art North Miami. He is also the co-author of
the book 101 Contemporary Artist, A Celebration of Modern
Nigerian Art. The first recent document on Nigerian
Contemporary Art published in 2010. George Edozie's works
are widely collected within and outside the country. George
was one of the Co-founder of the Art group Artzero and
also an Art consultant / Curator at the Alexis Gallery in #33
Lagos and has taken part in Art Workshops within and GBENGA OFFO
outside Nigeria. He was part of the exhibitions Africa Now

Sculptor, Ben Osawe, between 1988 and
1989, as part of his studio experience.
Odogwu had a solo exhibition titled 'Square
Pegs in Round Holes' held at the Omenka
Gallery, Ikoyi, Lagos in 2012. He has also
participated in numerous group and joint
exhibitions including 'Transcending
Boundaries' Cork Street, London in 2013
and 2014; 'Art Expo New York' in 2010;
African Now, Bohams Auction, London
2012 and 2013; 'Expressions Africanes',
Caracas, Venezuela, 2008; ArtHouse
Auction, Lagos, 2008 till date, Black History
month, Los Angeles 2014 to mention a few.
Fidelis presented a paper 'The Trends in
Contemporary Art Practice in Nigeria' at
SOAS University, London, May 2013 and
was also at IFITRY Artists Residency in
Morocco in November 2013.
He is a member of Society of Nigerian
Artists (SNA), Guild of Professional Fine
Artists of Nigeria (GFA) and African Artists
Foundation.

Bruce Onobrakpeya (b.1938)

Easily one of Africa's foremost artists,
Bruce Onobrakpeya rose from being a
young artist in the Nigerian Delta to the
pinnacle of African and international art
by the force of his passion for art, over
four decades of dedication to this field,
and his continuous innovations in
various art forms. Onobrakpeya's
paintings span exhibitions in various
continents of the world and he is one of
Nigeria's greatest brands in the fine arts.
Bruce Onobrakpeya is the most
celebrated printmaker in Africa; he is
one of the most famous pioneering
graduates of the Zaria Art School, who
went on to revolutionize the Nigerian
art scene. Onobrakpeya honed his
mastery of the printmaking medium
through his participation in seminal
workshops in Nigeria and the USA
during the 60s and 70s. His solo
exhibition career has spanned several
decades, and showcases his artistic
production of rare duplication in
Nigeria, as well as diverse countries of
the world. He is President of the Bruce
Onobrakpeya Foundation and organizer

Agose Patrick Ighogbedhere (b.1961)

Ndidi Emefiele (b. 1987)
Ndidi Emefiele holds a bachelors degree in painting from Delta
State University in Abraka, Nigeria and is currently studying for
a masters in fine art at the Slade School of Art, University
College London in London. Emefiele's work engages with the
dominant cultures of consumption and recycling in Nigeria and
takes its material cues from discarded materials, such as tulle,
fabric offcuts, scrap plastic and compact discs.

Francis Nicase Tchiakpe (b. 1973) Republic of Benin
Tchiakpe is a passionate artist which perfection
matters so much to, born on the 26th of April, 1973
in Cotonou Benin Republic. He paints his works with
superposition of earth, clay, pigments and ochers, he
uses cord and string, glue and cardboard, he mixes
colours to create a modern, mineral composition. His
works reveal a sacred and symbolic code, sprinkled
with graphic, geometric, universal signs and
elements. The margouillat (named lizard in Benin)
appears in his works, an animal with a strong blood
as a symbol of man.
His paintings give us a universal vision of the world he
lives in. He is a multi-talented artist and his mixed

exhibitions in Nigeria, Belgium, France and Benin

BUYING AT TERRA KULTURE/MYDRIM AUCTION HOUSE
Conditions of Sale
The "conditions of sale" and "Limited Warranty" are published in the
catalogue and on the company's website (www.tkmgauction.com).
Terra Kulture Auction House encourages bidders to be familiar with
these documents as they state out the terms on which property is
bought at the auction.
Bidders Registration
We require prospective buyers to register at least 72 hours before the
auction. All first-time registrants will be required to supply a bank
reference to complete this process. TKMG Auction House will be
available to answer any individual question about this process or if
assistance is required. Registered bidders who arrive at the auction
will be given a numbered paddle for bidding.
Bidding
The auctioneer accepts bids from those present in the sales room or
absentee written bids left with TKMG Auction House in advance of
the auction. The auctioneer may also execute bids on behalf of the
seller up to the amount of the reserve, either by placing consecutive
bids or by entering bids in response to those made in the sales room
and/or absentee bids. After the reserve is met, the auctioneer will not
execute any further bids.
Absentee Bids
A registered prospective buyer that is unable to attend the auction
can complete a written instruction in the form of an absentee bid.
This would be a maximum amount the bidder is willing to declare as
the hammer price. TKMG Auction House will attempt to execute an
absentee bid at the lowest possible price taking into account the
reserve price. If identical bids are made for the same lot, the first bid
received by TKMG Auction House will take priority. The auctioneer
may execute absentee bids himself with a verbal declaration that he
is doing so. TKMG Auction House Bid forms is available in this
catalogue and on TKMG website. As indicated in the conditions of
sale, TKMG Auction House will confirm receipt of absentee bids up
to 24 hours after submission by the prospective buyer. If the
prospective buyer has not received a confirmation, he or she is

Successful Bids
The sound of the auctioneer's hammer signifies that the final bid has
been made and accepted. At that time, the buyer assumes full

purchase the lot(s) of your choice for the lowest price possible and
