Signs are all around us. They tell us when to stop, what city we are in, who to vote for,

what car we should drive, and even what food we should eat. Some signs are, some are bad. In

the consumer world that we live in signs try to draw us in and persuade us into believing a

certain way or buying a certain brand. For example, we just recently finished a presidential

election. Both candidates Trump and Clinton had election signs. Both candidates promised their

own parties beliefs and both had their own campaign mottos. Trumps was Make America

Great Again.. While Clintons was Hillary For America.. While the signs look very similar

and contain the same colors, both have two very different political views. To understand their

beliefs, we must look past the two candidates individual signs and look deeper into the general

system in which it belongs. Trump is a Republican, Clinton is a Democrat. Trump is Pro-Life,

Clinton is Pro-Choice. Looking deeper into Trumps slogan Make America Great Again, we

can take that as a sign that that Trump wants to restore America back to its core values and have

a more traditional approach, While Clintons Hillary for America slogan is a sign saying she is

with America and is going to support what the people want and what the country wants. I would

reveal the system of a sign by first breaking the sign down into parts. Like a painting, you dissect

different objects in the art piece, I would break down each part of the sign a describe what each

part is. Once I dissect all the individual parts it makes sense to put all the pieces together.

Another great example would be doing a puzzle. One does not just find random pieces and put

them together. First the pieces must be separated into two sections. I would first separate the

corner pieces from the middle of the puzzle. I would configure the board, and then separate the
middle pieces by like colors. I can than start to configure the picture the whole puzzle. In all,

signs can be all around us and not just in the form of visual signs we must dissect the sign

before we can understand the meaning of it.
