Brief Description of Learning Experience: I will use my blog to reach out to the parents. The parents will
be able to see the work that the students are doing in class, the class schedule, and upcoming events. There
will be forms for the parents to fill out about the students.

The students will be able to post their original creations onto the blog for the parents to see. If we are
working on an assignment in class and I want them to finish it up at home, there will be a flipped class
room tab. This tab will take the assignment from class and it will be finished at home. This way they can
get help from the parents. The people who will see this blog is the students, the parents, and the school
district

Student Engagement/Level of Technology Implementation (LoTi): The LoTi level would be a Level 2
because the blog is something that I would create for the students. The level will go up if I have the students
to post their own creations onto the blog for parents to see. The students will be able to have a choice into
what they want to post from some of their original work.
Importance of technology: Blogs are important to have in the classroom. You get to be creative and fun
with your work. Its something that could be fun for the students and parents. This technology is used to
have updates for the parents thats easy to find. The blog lets you post things in a column style post and the
latest post will be at the top. That makes it easy for the parents to find. If I did not use this technology, I
could still interact with the parents of the students but it will be hard. Some parents are hard to get in touch
with and its easier for the parents to just go to the blog and find what they need.
Internet Safety and Student Privacy: Internet safety is a big deal when it comes to the students. You have
to make sure that you have the permission from the school district to post anything that the students have
created. When posting the students work, you have to be sure not to add any personal information about the
student. You also have to have information from the parents as well. There shouldnt be any pictures of the
students if you did not get the parents permission.
Describe your personal learning goal for this activity. With this activity, I am trying to have more
interaction between my parents and myself. I want the parents to be able to see what will be going on in the
classroom. I want them to be able to see their childs work. I have learned that it is easier for me to
communicate with the parents. Its easy for the parents to access to see forms, upcoming events, and even
leave comments if they have any. This blog will help the students learn outside of the classroom because
they are able to take the work that they did at school and take it home with them. They will use the tab
Flipped Classroom and this folder will have little homework assignments that they will do at home. They
also can upload their own videos and original work as well. The students will learn the class content and
also how to use the blog website.
