Lesson Plan 3: Formative Assessment:

Formative: Students will be given a completed graphic organizer. They will verbally
explain what each section of the graphic organizer is and how it shows the differences
between local, state, and federal government.
Accommodation: Taylor can write down or type the answers into a word document if she
is feeling anxious and does not want to verbally tell the answer.

- Here is a completed graphic organizer on the information that we have been learning
about local, state, and federal government. Look at the graphic organizer in depth and
verbally explain to me the differences and similarities of the three types of government.

Lesson Plan 3: Summative Assessment:
Summative: At the end of this lesson students will create a project that ties in the different
level of governments (local, state, federal), and the past lessons on the three branches of
government and one regions local government. They will present their project to the
class and be graded based on a rubric.
Accommodation: Taylor can use technology for her project and can sit in the comfy
chairs in the room if she feels anxious or in danger.
