Instructions for using MycroGranules

Mycrogranules can be added to the casing in 2 ways;

a) Ruffling into the casing (at casing)

Broadcast the Granules at a rate of 270g/m2 on the casing surface. Use a ruffling machine to mix into the casing on a
quick speed and try avoid bringing up too much compost from below.

b) Adding as an ingredient in a casing mixer

Mix the peat, chalk and water together in the mixer. Stop the mixer. Apply the correct dosage of granules for the batch
size on the surface and start mixer for just enough time to mix and not damage the structure of the casing. Add CACing
after (in the same way) if needed.

Other important points

Optimal pH of casing is 8.
Mixing must be uniform
Keep high CO2 in the casing for the first 4 days; preferably use plastic. Water is not lost when plastic is adopted so
watering can commence on day 4 of case run when it is removed.

Instructions for using MycroNutrient Liquid

MycroNutrient Liquid can be added to the casing in 1 way

a) Adding as an ingredient in a casing mixer

MIX CONCENTRATE in IBC THOROUGHLY BEFORE USE with COMPRESSED AIR or HOMOGENISER

Mix the peat, chalk dry. Dilute the correct dosage of MycroNutrient Liquid (165g/m2) through whole volume of water
and pump into the mixer. Do not over mix as this damage the structure of the casing. Leave to react in the casing for 2 -
3 days prior to application to the growing surfaces.

Other important points

Optimal pH of casing is 8.
Mixing must be uniform
Keep high CO2 in the casing (VERY IMPORTANT) for the first 4 days; preferably use plastic. Water is not lost when
plastic is adopted so watering can commence on day 4 of case run when it is removed.
Minimum dilution ratio is 3 parts water t o 1 part Mycro; the higher the dilution factor the better.

Instructions for adding Liquid Gold

Liquid Gold can be added to phase 2 compost (pasteurised) in 1 wa y.

a) Spraying on the compost as it comes out of the tunnel (before spawning)

MIX CONCENTRATE in IBC THOROUGHLY BEFORE USE with COMPRESSED AIR or HOMOGENISER

The application rate is 8.6kg of Liquid Gold per tonne of compost. This needs to be diluted by 12L of water ie total
application rate is 20.6kg of mix per tonne of compost.

Keep the diluted mix agitated during application. The mix can be pumped through spray nozzles preferably in the body
of the winch to get good mixing and quick absorption. By the time the compost arrives at the spawning hopper, the
liquid should be right inside the straw.

Other important points

Using at phase 3 can be too active, hence our recommendation for addition at spawning
This product is synthetic so there is no reason why it cannot be put back into a phase 3 tunnel for spawn run phase.
Spawn run is speeded up 2-3 days, so be aware of surge being a little earlier than normal.
Temperature surge is manageable and responds well to air temperature changes.
Additional protein could be considered after spawn running in a tunnel but at lower rates.
More potential yield can be gained when used in conjunction with MycroGranules.
Do not apply spawn on compost if it is not absorbed in compost.

Instructions for adding Natural Gold

Natural Gold can be added to phase 3 (preferred) or phase 2 compost in 1 way.

a) Applying via a dedicated applicator on the compost as it comes out of the tunnel (before spawning)

The application rate is 8 15 kg of Natural Gold per tonne of compost (depending on desired effect). Mixing must be
uniform.

Other important points

Best results are when added at phase 3. For phase 2 we recommend Liquid Gold whi ch is more stable and safer.
Low dosage rates stabilise yield (+/ - 30kg/m2). Higher dosage rates increase yields more than this (all other factors
being correct).
Mixing is vital; areas of overdosing and under dosing mean compost in this areas will not increase yield and possibly
decrease. This is not just a temperature effect and relates to all granular supplements. Even dosing releases the
maximum potential from all areas of the compost.
Temperature surge is very manageable and compost responds well to air temperature changes up and down.
More potential yield can be gained when used in conjunction with MycroGranules.
