Dear
Fellow
Educator,
It
is
with
considerable
interest
that
I
submit
my
application,
resume,
and
supplemental
materials
for
a
music
teacher
position
in
your
school
system.
With
my
comprehensive
music,
fine-art,
and
academic
background,
as
well
as
prior
classroom
experience,
I
am
confident
that
I
possess
the
skills
and
characteristics
that
you
want
and
deserve
in
a
music
teacher.
I
am
committed
to
developing
an
intrinsic
love
of
lifelong
learning
within
the
student,
creating
a
safe
and
productive
learning
environment
for
my
classes,
and
establishing
and
meeting
appropriately
challenging
growth
targets
inspired
by
O hio
content
standards.
At
the
conclusion
of
my
time
at
Capital
University
I
received
my
bachelor
of
music
degree
in
K-12
Music
Education
with
a
Vocal
focus.
I
completed
my
elementary
student
teaching
with
Aileen
Miracle
at
O lentangy
Cheshire
Elementary
School
and
my
high
school
experience
with
Matt
Zabeigala
at
Worthington
Kilbourne
High
School.
In
May
of
2016
I
was
hired
in
the
Reynoldsburg
City
School
District.
I
have
had
the
honor
and
privilege
of
working
with
the
staff
and
students
at
Summit
Road
STEM
Elementary
and
Herbert
Mills
STEM
Elementary.
I
love
watching
my
students
explore
their
natural
curiosities,
fearlessly
make
and
move
to
music,
and
show
up
everyday
willing
to
stretch
their
expectations
of
themselves,
brimming
over
with
enthusiasm
to
discover
their
world.
As
I
write
our
Holiday
Program,
gather
recyclables
to
design
instruments,
or
even
draft
the
next
lesson
plan,
I
look
around
me
and
wonder
how
I
am
somehow
lucky
enough
to
be
doing
this
work
with
these
learners,
the
future
musicians
and
makers
of
a
world
we
cannot
even
imagine.
My
goal
as
a
teacher
is
to
provide
a
model
of
high
energy
and
enthusiasm,
advanced
goal-setting
achievement,
and
engaged
citizenship
for
my
students.
I
hope
to
build
trust
with
my
classes
and
remain
a
resource
throughout
their
education,
providing
the
musical
framework
for
whole
lives
enriched
with
music
performance
and
appreciation.
I
would
greatly
appreciate
the
opportunity
to
work
with
and
learn
from
you
and
your
talented
team.
I
would
like
to
assist
you
and
this
school
my
husband
is
already
lucky
enough
to
call
home,
in
guiding
students
to
unlock
their
fullest
potential
and
become
the
leaders
of
tomorrow.
I
look
forward
to
speaking
with
you
soon,
and
in
the
interim,
thank
you
for
your
time
and
consideration.
With
Thanks,
Emily
