The Seasons

Length of Lesson Two 40-minute lesson
Lesson Recognizing and learning about different seasons is an important skill for
Overview/Rational young children. In this lesson, students will get together in groups of four
e and create a movie about the four seasons. Students will need to include
pictures that illustrate the four seasons (fall, winter, spring, summer).
Each student in the group of four will be assigned to work on one season.
Students will also need to record an audio about what they can do in each
season and what they like about it. Students will interact together to
create the movie with the help of the teacher. At the end of the project,
students will watch their movie with their classmates.

Technology Uses In this lesson, a Mac computer must be used to create the movie using
iMovie.

Procedure 1. Explain to the students what they need to do and how they are going
to create the movie.
2. The students will be put in groups of four.
3. The teacher will go around each group and pull up photos on google
by typing "Seasons" in the search box.
4. Picture like snow, rain, leaves, sun, wind will be on the screen.
5. Each student is assigned to find a picture of a season.
6. Students will pick one picture that they like for each season.
7. Each student will record themselves talking about what they like in
the season that has been picked for them and what they can do in it.
8. With the help of the teacher, students will put together their pictures
and audios to create a movie.
9. When the movie is done, it will be presented in front of the class.
Assessment Students will be assessed based on:
