Shawna does an excellent job of knowing what the students need to know. I challenge Shawna to search and find
curriculum framework (what the state mandates each student should know and do) independently in order to be
prepared for her own classroom.

Shawna utilizes a variety of assessment tools- formally and informally- to make the necessary plans. By the end of the
placement, she was able to state where a student was needing remediation, enrichment, or a quick review. This is a
powerful tool for a teacher!!

Shawna was a consistent team player within our 5th grade team. She was not hesitant to step up and ask a question,
state something she noticed about the students, or offer help.
