Shawna is a bright, creative novice educator who provides accurate and up-to-date content based on the school
division's curriculum and Virginia state standards. Shawna has developed learning materials to enhance the students'
learning experience.

Shawna has a solid grasp of lesson delivery. During my three observations, students were adequately engaged in
learning. Shawna used a variety of instructional strategies, including student-centered learning activities, self-guided
centers, small-group instruction, and whole-group instruction. All lessons resulted in meaningful learning experiences.

methods and uses classroom-level student learning data to make instructional decisions. Shawna also provided
evidence via her submitted ePortfolio assignment that she can gather, document, and analyze student learning data in
the aggregate.

were well-behaved during my observations. Shawna continues to refine her classroom management strategies as she
builds her "teaching toolbox" of skills. I have no doubt that Shawna could manage her own classroom.
