Helping Hand provide- emergency aid to individuals and


families in need. They provide food, clothing, and financial
resources for basic needs. Financial assistance is only provided for
utility bills, rent/mortgage, transportation, and some
prescriptions.

For over 30 years. they believe in making families feel special,


they host special events, such as; Halloween Thanksgiving &
Christmas food, along with receiving gifts from the Angel Tree
program.

A Father's Place offers education and services for men who are
rebuilding their lives and their families. Men who have been to
jail, homeless, or on drugs addicts, breaking relations with their
families, receive parenting, relationship, and social skills to gain
productive stable employment. Regaining their roles as successful
fathers once again.
Peer support groups meet once a week, addressing individual
needs and goals. scheduled daily. Activities are planned giving
fathers the opportunity to build their relationships with their
family and spend quality time together.

Tell someone! Safe place- is counseling, for victims of abuse,


such as: physical, mental and sexual abuse. They offer advocacy,
legal assistance, case management, information and referral,
support groups, and children's services. Training and education is
offered to help women gain their dignity and respect and live a
productive life, after the abuse.

A unique group of healthcare professionals have come together
offering affordability healthcare. Using their knowledge and skills,
the team, provide an array of services such as, screenings,
physicals, and dental for children and adults.

They accept Medicare, Medicaid and additional insurance plans.

BabyNet- Is South Carolinas Early
Intervention System, that
supports infants and toddlers
that are under the age. Infants and toddlers with developmental
delays.
First steps BabyNet assess the needs of children and provide
support for the child to reach their developmental goals. Services
provided include everyday activities, routines, and places that will
improve the familys lifestyle. All services from babyNet is free.

Waccamaw Center for Mental Health- is outpatient services for adults
and children that are mentally challenged. Services are rendered to each
individuals needs, strengths, and abilities.
Waccamaw offers services that support children and their and families,
maintaining their day to day lives. Families with children who are mentally
challenged, care for their children on a day to day basis, and treatment is
only issued from Waccamaw Services, when a child has an outbreak and
recovery is needed.
The cost for treatment is covered by, Medicaid, Medicare, and individual
Insurance is accepted. Reduced prices are according to the familys income.

Park & Sports Complex - Is a wonderful place to have a nice
day out with family. The park offers, many special events, which
bring the community together to celebrate, learn and have fun.
They have arts and crafts festivals, parades and holiday events.
A wide arrange of sport facilities that have easy access, which
accommodate an array of activities baseball, softball, lacrosse,
soccer, quid ditch, and flag football.

family or by yourself. This park is a tranquil place to unwind after
