Unit Summary:
In this unit, we'll explore how World War I was different from all previous wars due to nationalism and various ideologies. We will also investigate
how WWI impacted the lives of the soldiers who fought it, and the impact of the war on European and World politics in its aftermath. Students will
be able to identify all of the causes that lead up to the war, not just the immediate factors. By the end of this unit, students will discover how the
end of the war came about and what treaties were created. This unit will consist of various activities including lecture, guided notes, class
discussion, graphic organizers, a collaborative concept map, a written narrative, and a final project that will display an understanding of
information from throughout the unit.
