 INVITATION
We take great pleasure to cordially invite you and your member to participate in the
Polytechnic International Taekwondo Invitation Championship 2017. Participant from within
Malaysia and other nation are expected to participate in this championship.

Our Main Objective is to promote friendship and enhance good will among the Taekwondo
fertility and to exchange views on the latest development in Taekwondo. We want to
provide our young Taekwondo athletes exposure to the International arena, where they can
compete and interact among the top Taekwondo athletes from around the world

We are inviting Clubs, States, National and International team to participate. We expect a
total participation of 500 to 800 participants.

Kindly confirm your participant via Email, Fax or to the organizing committee to
ensure us to organize this event successfully.

 CHAMPIONSHIP INFORMATION

5. COMPETITION RULES Conventional WTF Competition Rules.
6 TYPE OF Kyorugi only

7 TYPE OF PSS Daedo (Teams are to bring their own 4G socks)

8. METHOD OF CONTEST SPARRING EVENT:
Full Contact Knock-Out Sparring System.

Age Group and competition duration :

Junior (15 17 Years) (ESS)(Semi Final & Finals: PSS)

(born between Jan 1, 1999 and Dec 31, 2001)
2 minutes x 3 rounds x 1 minute rest.
(subject to the discretion of the organizers )

Open (16 years old and above) (PSS)

Born before 1st January 2001
2 minutes x 3 rounds x 1 minute rest.
(subject to the discretion of the organizers)

Each team may send more than four (4) participant in each
weight category.
9. DISCIPLINE All officials and participants should strictly observe the
decorum of TM (WTF) and the rules & regulations of
competition.
10. ARBITRATIORS / Shall be appointed by Taekwondo Malaysia (WTF).
HEAD OF COURT / All participating countries are allowed to nominate one IR.
REFEREES
11. CLUB FLAGS. All participating club are requested to bring along their club
flags for the opening/closing ceremony.
12. AWARD MEDAL & TROPHIES :-
PRESENTATIONS
i. Medals will be awarded to the winners of each weight
category - 1 gold, 1 silver & 2 bronze medals

ii. Overall trophies shall be awarded for each age group

iii. Grand Champions :-

The Grand Champion Trophy will be awarded to the

overall champion.

The Grand Champions shall be the team who win the most
number of gold medals (Only categories with a minimum of

 four participants will be included in the various medal
tallies).

iv. Certificate of participation will be given to each

participant and a certificate of achievement will be given to
each winner.
13. INDEMNITIES It shall be the responsibility of the participants and teams to
have validly completed the participation forms,
indemnifying Taekwondo Malaysia (WTF), the Sponsors,
the Organizing Committee, its officials and other contestants
from any claims of injuries, losses, fatal or otherwise, arising
in the course of participation in these championships.
All participants must have the consent form signed by their
parents / guardians.

Taekwondo Malaysia (WTF) and the organizer deems that

all participants and officials are covered with insurance
coverage (the responsibility will be borne by the respective
Countries / Club / Team Manager & Coach.)
14. PARTICIPATION FEES Entry fee:
A. Free sparring :RM 40 per person

B. All payments must be settled IN CASH only at the

registration desk.

15. PROTECTIVE Approved head gears, body vests, shin and forearm guards,
APPARELS clear mouth guards & groin guards are Compulsory.

Exponents are encouraged to use hand gloves.

Daedo sensor socks E-Foot Protector 4G latest (with heel

sensor) shall be used for the PSS category. Please inform
us early if the participants team didnt have.

16. PROTEST FEE Non-refundable protest fee of RM 100.00 per protest

17. REGISTRATION Registration will be held as follows:-

Date: 21 April 2017

Time: 8.00 am-3.00 pm
Team Manager Meeting: 4.30 pm

Drawing of lots will be computerized

18. TRIAL WEIGH-IN / 1. Official Weigh in will be held from 10.00 am to 3.00 pm on
the 21th of April 2017.
OFFICIAL WEIGH-IN 2. Trial weigh-in will commence from 8.00am till 9.59am.

 3. The weigh in shall be conducted in the same competition
venue.

19. ENTRIES CLOSING Entries will close at 5.00 pm, 11 of April 2017 or when the
DATE maximum of 800 entries is reached, whichever comes first.
